I do believe those things, but once again the point I'm making is to refute this idea that you are pushing that just one side is in a hurry to forego presumed innocence.

The GOP in this case is not so much distancing themselves from a child molester--they're USING this swell of accusations to do what they already wanted to do anyway:  Get Roy Moore out of the way.

sheesh.  It may seem like a subtle distinction to you, but please try to pay attention.

You're telling me they don't want a guy in their club who said Muslims shouldn't be allowed to serve in Congress, 9/11 happened because our country is becoming more secular, was an adamant birther, and compared homosexuality (which he believes should be illegal) to bestiality?  I don't believe it.

In this instance the left is seizing on the opportunity to paint Republicans as child molesters, and Republicans clearly understand this, and are seeking a resolution in which the problem simply goes away because it's the most politically expedient thing for them to do.

That's all this is.

That's true and it may work for some incredibly stupid people, but I think the bigger strategy by the left is to suppress the vote of Alabama Republicans and increase the Democratic/Independent turnout by exploiting these allegations.  A poll came out today showing Moore and Jones were tied.  If Jones does win in Alabama (I'll give him a 15% chance at this point), the Democrats will claim their victory was a repudiation of Trumpism.

That will be a hard argument to make stick. Dems will just feel lucky picking up a seat with a Republican unforced error.

you need to come to one major realization.

even if there was little to no evidence supporting this and actual evidence that said he enver did it you would be wanting him to step down/lynch him whatever.

you're a devout democrat.  your tenure on this forum has shown this to be true.  you are rabid, at that.  and anything you say against a republican is taken with a grain of salt because of the integrity of your opinion and it's severe bias.

UH-OH: ROY MOORE DIDN’T HELP HIMSELF IN INTERVIEW WITH SEAN HANNITY.

This Roy Moore interview is an example of why defense attorneys tell our clients to STFU.”

Interesting.  I wonder if the goal of the interview was to build the case for Moore to step down.

It is absolutely amazing what idiots will say and admit to when they're trying to talk themselves out of trouble.

It's a leftist creation, which I described as illiberal, which seeks to undo traditional liberal legal protections granted by the assumption of innocence until guilt is proven.

Has nothing to do with left or right leaning political views and everything to do with the human condition of needing to validate our worst biases. And it has been going on since we were in caves.

Considering how the news media has tripled down on the dirty tactics since Trump won, I have a hard time believing anything they say anymore.  Just look at the ridiculous narrative they've been pushing for the last week about the 'wave' of 2 or 3 Democrats who won elections in solidly blue state (huge shock), plus the smear campaign against Donna Brazile.   Given all that, it's entirely possible the Clinton crime syndicate has decided this would be a monumental win and manufactured the entire thing.

Never been a conspiracy guy, but there is no reason to believe anything coming out of the left wing media any longer.  They are all working the agenda and doing nothing else.

I'd have anyone caught diddling with children or holding kiddie porn executed on the spot -- that's not hyperbole, I really would.  But I can't just assume things uncovered by this crooked media are true any longer.  They've destroyed their own credibility.

You folks - like 90% of the zombies who continue to post on this forum (most sane individuals don't bother anymore) - are just batschitt crazy.  You really are.  You take the echo chamber in here as evidence that you're right - but in reality, most of us don't even bother opening the sewer door to peer down into it anymore.

Sure, it's a conspiracy, he was framed, liberals have destroyed the presumption of evidence, blah blah blah.  Your'e all freaking nuts.  Seriously.

You're talking to a liberal who is being honest about the current state of affairs in the media, and the impact the growing obviousness of their malfeasance is having on public discourse.

that's a laughable statement.  as laughable as any i've seen here in a while

can you not see how this entire premise of claiming roy moore did this has been set up in a way to completely smear the man?  that it took how many years to come out?  that it came out exactly when it did?

and of course, the idiots who buy in to this bull **** tactic say "it doesn't matter if it catches a bad guy" kind of schtick.  well, look what it brings down.  look at the civil unrest it creates because of the presumption of guilt.  this tactic has been used by the democratic process for far too long.

gary condit and duke larosse say "sup?"
