ESPN: Injuries in Falcons' loss a reminder of what they'll have to overcome

Matt Ryan was off, and the Bills boast a good defense, but injuries to Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu certainly didn't help Atlanta on Sunday.

Creating more turnovers is at the top of Dan Quinn’s list of improvements for 3-1 Falcons

Heading into the bye week, creating more turnovers is at the top of the list for Falcons' coach Dan Quinn.

We do. We also realize this team is filled with players that hate our flag, country, police, military, and those who support them. Great games are great, but not supporting scum bags who are uninformed or blinded by hatred takes a higher priority.

@PFF

Top 5 Grades:

TE Charles Clay, 91.5 overall grade

S Micah Hyde, 87.0 overall grade

CB Tre’Davious White, 84.2 overall grade

T Dion Dawkins, 83.7 overall grade

LB Ramon Humber, 82.4 overall grade

Performances of Note: QB Tyrod Taylor, 76.7 overall grade

Another day, another solid showing for Taylor. With the running game enjoying success Taylor was in his element, able to work off play action (69.2 percent of his yards came via play action), and never putting the ball in danger. Ultimately his ball security was better than his opposing number, and that is why the Bills won.

TE Charles Clay, 91.5 overall grade

He’s not been the prolific weapon the Bills paid him to be, but Clay showed what he is capable both with ball in hand and blocking on the edge against Atlanta. His 112 yards led the team and it was built on some good work after the catch. He forced three missed tackles as the Falcons struggled to bring him down. His 5.33 yards per route run leads all tight ends so far this week.

CB Tre’Davious White, 84.2 overall grade

A front-runner for Rookie of the Year, White just keeps making plays. He was alert enough to scoop and score on a Falcons fumble but he also has another excellent day in coverage. Thrown at eight times, he allowed just 18 yards and broke up a pass for good measure.

EDGE Jerry Hughes, 82.2 overall grade

There aren’t many edge defenders who have such consistent joy against Jake Matthews, but Hughes had himself a day. His forced fumble was arguably the pivotal moment in this contest, but he also added a hit and four hurries in a display of his excellence.

I'm sorry but PFF is a joke. How do you give Tyrod a better grade for Carolina than today's game?

Cuz he lost?????

Sorry if you don't catch the sarc

Wasn't going to read it when I saw Rodak at the top, but this was actually fun to read especially knowing how much of a Pat's homer he is.

Should the Bills win that game, they will enter the bye week with their first 4-1 record since 2011. But Buffalo collapsed to a 6-10 finish that year, serving as a reminder there is still a long road ahead for the Bills before the end of their 17-year playoff drought becomes a discussion.

Rodak delivers

That last sentence is so ironic.

Great win! After 17 years will take them anyway we can. Nice to see Bills learning how to win close games.

Will be nice to have a healthy Dareus, Shaq, Gaines and Glenn back after the bye week. Getting to 4-1 would be great. Gotta take care of business at Cinncy.

Worried about the injuries to Humber and Matthews.

A+ for the 1st quarter of the season but gotta follow it up for 3 more quarters!!!!

Also looks like Maclin made a bad choice going to the Ravens. Would of fit great in Buffalo!

Fumble was going to go however it got called on the field. The ball was knocked loose and clearly moved in his hand while he was still bringing his arm back, but he also clearly pushed it forward before it completely left his hand.

Dungy just said on football night in America that it was the right call, no one even argued it
