As good as Elliott is, Dallas won't miss a beat without him. They will plug someone in and there will be a drop off, but it probably won't cost them a single game (and probably will not move the betting line more than half a point). Prescott is FAR more valuable.

@tompelissero

NFL told Ezekiel Elliott the 6-game suspension is based on July 2016 allegations, source said. Not an accumulation of other incidents.

@rapsheet

In a letter to Elliott, NFL exec Todd Jones said there was substantial and persuasive evidence to show multiple incidents of violence.

@rapsheet

The letter sent to Elliott specifically details instances of abuse, according to experts. Were posting it now.

One factor in decision on Ezekiel Elliott, per source: review of metadata supporting alleged victim's timeline of incidents/injuries.

In letter to Elliott, the NFL says it also consulted two medical experts on the "identification, causation and aging" of injuries.

Columbus PD looks bad here, but reportedly at least one rep thinks he did it, but they didn't have enough to charge him. Also, there were multiple witnesses who said he didn't do anything.

If Zeke Elliott has “any additional violations” of @NFL policy it “may result in your suspension or potential banishment,” Elliott was told

Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones is said to be furious with NFL decision, per one source. Furious.

Jerry has issued a statement to Goodell and the NFL:

"They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. He has been very threatening ... and as I said they will be met with fire, fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before."

He seems PISSED! :D

Here's a fact.....a local municipality PD does not have near the resources, or time, to disect something like this the way the NFL does.

In letter to Zeke Elliott, Todd Jones calls the parade incident "inappropriate and disturbing, and reflected a lack of respect for women."

Zeke also directed to arrange a clinical evaluation by a qualified professional and must undergo counseling if it's deemed necessary.

Yeah they were just saying that... they interviewed a number of witnesses whose stories matched and they didn't have enough to charge him in the eyes of the law. Also the girl was hesitant to move forward initially and was more cooperative with the NFL than with the police.

The punitive portion of the letter from Todd Jones to Ezekiel Elliott.
