DOJ Appoints Robert Mueller as Special Counsel - Jerome Corsi Rejects Plea Deal

Recommended Posts

If James Comey were the center of this investigation, Otis might have a point. But he's not. Not even close.

Thanks for agreeing that Comey is part of the investigation,

No matter how "teensey-weensey" you want to make it, that means Mr. Mueller's close friendship should recuse him.

Comey is not now nor has he ever been a subject of the investigation. Of course he was part of it as the former director of the leading investigatory body. He is no longer privy to anything regarding any subsequent investigatory actions since his dismissal.

No matter how "BIGSY-WIGSY" you want to make it, there is no compelling case to be made for Mueller to recuse himself on the grounds that he and Comey are friends. Comey is simply not a material entity in the current investigation.

Didn't I predict yesterday that you would start targeting Mueller? Your masters have given their marching orders.

Media bad, they show idiot Trump as an idiot

Congressional Budget Office Bad, they told the truth about GOP tax cut bill (aka health care)

And now Mueller, because Trump and company must know he will find something

Now that Mueller's turned the investigation on the President's "obstruction of justice", he should step down. Because Comey IS a material witness and Comey was Mueller's protege. THAT clearly is a conflict of interests. This is exactly what Comey was trying to do with the leak to the media - get a Special Prosecutor assigned because they have NO limits to what they can investigate. He didn't have the guts to tell his boss that he felt Trump was interfering or attempted to interfere with Flynn's investigation. Hell, he told Congress and the world that he wasn't man enough to say that. So the worm leaks in order to get a SP who has limitless investigation powers. They have zero evidence of collusion by Trump. They have to get him somehow. The coup must continue.

Republicans invented the modern Special

Prosecutor leviathon witch hunt (Whitewater leads to Lewinsky) like Dems created the cloture workaround. Bad acts have a way of coming around. A pox on both houses.

It isn't a conflict of interest to have a work colleague in the midst of an investigation.

Obstruction was always going to be on the table once he reached out to close the investigation and fired Comey over Russia.

Wasn't this warned when all the 'Pubes were rejoicing over the Comey-Shillary email thing a few weeks before election.

Public sector isn't a business Donald... Not a bunch of yes men toadies. Sure you can hire and fire. But there are also checks in place, different set of ethical rules.

What was Donald afraid of? Nothing has been getting done since Inauguration Day anyway. Let Comey run his course.

The bell tolled last week when Coates and Rogers testified they wouldn't answer certain questions in a public setting. I suspect their closed testimony on the subject of Trump asking them to intervene in the investigation wasn't favorable.

If Mueller's Dem cronies don't turn up anything then it is a better outcome for Trump.

If Mueller's Dem cronies do turn up something, then Trump will complain about the unfairness and railroading.

Anyone who doesn't see Trump winning is kidding themselves. Trump wins this bull **** every damn time and that's why he is president. Its not because he is Trump. It is because people are tired of the Democrats always blaming anyone and everyone without taking their own responsibilities in to account.

Which of course has to raise eyebrows about what he is hiding about Russia

The addition to Mueller’s team of a prosecutor including Andrew Weissmann, Supreme Court advocate and criminal law expert Michael Dreeben, and others experienced in complex fraud and international bribery cases suggests that the probe may be looking at more than “collusion” between Russian officials and Trump team members. For example, “it appears he has recruited an experienced Justice Department trial attorney, Lisa Page, a little-known figure outside the halls of Main Justice but one whose résumé boasts intriguing hints about where Mueller’s Russia investigation might lead. Page has deep experience with money laundering and organized crime cases, including investigations where she’s partnered with an FBI task force in Budapest, Hungary, that focuses on eastern European organized crime. That Budapest task force helped put together the still-unfolding money laundering case against Ukrainian oligarch Dmitry Firtash, a one-time business partner of [Paul] Manafort.”) News reports speculate that Mueller could be investigating potential money-laundering by Trump team members.
