I'm happy to see people coming around to my view.

Soon. Soon the day of reckoning will come for the "free press."

To be fair, I think a lot of people agree in general with your position. Where the disagreement comes in is the solution proposed. Just like my earlier comment this morning to the Dude, you can't fight fascism with more fascism.

Expose the corrupt journalists, prosecute those who have committed actual crimes - no one argues that (I think).

But there are plenty of partisan journalists who haven't committed any crimes, but are merely just either partisan hacks or asshats when they were (unknowingly) running fake stories/propaganda. Those are tougher to deal with, but the principles should remain the same. Expose them as frauds to their audiences and the market at large, and let the marketplace deal with them.

imo anyway

Perfectly summarized, Greg.

Joe, I've never disagreed with you about the nature of the problem; my contention with your position is your insistence on the subversion of rights as a solution, where as I believe that the problem must be solved within the law, and preserving our Constitutional protections.  Prosecute those who have committed crimes to the fullest extent of the law; but don't dismantle the achievements of the Enlightenment.  The baby is far too precious to be discarded along with the bathwater.

The Enlightenment is long dead.

Modernism killed it and then postmodernism and now post-postmodernism rules....

Enlightenment today is Al Gore trying to argue from scientific principles that global warming is a foregone conclusion.

hee....

Al thinks he is E while he is p-pomo....

CLUELESS............

I haven’t seen the broad conservative coalition as fired up about a story since Kavanaugh. Pretty interesting.

Those pesky conservatives keep getting uniformly fired up when we in the media attempt to destroy innocent people.

Must be a conspiracy.

That guy has a supremely punch-able looking face.

I can't post because my computer is being slow, but Joy Berher and the other worthless ***** of the view admitted that the media is quick to jump on stories to slander trump because they want him out of office.

I.e. political grandstanding before truth. At least they're being transparent in their bull####.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw notices something in common among this week’s media blunders

The media can’t get enough of this year’s crop of freshmen members of Congress, as long as their names are Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, or Rashida Tlaib. So it’s up to Rep. Dan Crenshaw to build his own brand on social media, such as when he posted a video of himself at last Friday’s March for Life.

It’s hard to believe we’re on Day 4 of the media frenzy over the Covington Catholic High School kids, but Crenshaw reminds us of what that story managed to push off the newspaper pages. And he sees a pattern as well.

Quote

Media blunders this week:
-hardly any coverage of #MarchforLife
-Buzzfeed lies about Cohen case
-slandering Covington Catholic students over false narrative
-slandering Karen Pence for working at Christian school

3 out of 4 are fundamentally anti-Christian. Just last 7 days.

Fact check: True.

Unbelievable.

Last year, conservative wives looked at the furious attack on Kavanaugh and thought, "That could be my husband." Now conservative moms look at the wild attempt to destroy the Covington kids and think, "That could be my son."
