I think the funny thing is that for years, the American left has essentially been attempting to do this very thing; create a socialist society run by a dominant central authority. Now they're doing everything in their power to have the American people perceive this administration as being the exact thing that they've aspired to all along. I haven't decided if that's just laughably stupid of them or utterly galling, but either way it's pretty damned pathetic. Message to Democrats: you lost.
