If it’s not working then it needs surgery and it’s a 6 month recovery. If it’s working then minimal recovery 1-2 weeks. Decision for surgery depends on how stable the knee is on an exam. If the MRI is inconclusive then decision for surgery is even more based on the exam. Often it is difficult to know the true status of the ACL until during surgery. Some very smart people have told me they are finding very interesting things about Reggies spleen. I'm not saying he doesnt have one; I'm just saying he hasn't come out and said he does.
