Sure it was avoidable. Let the legal system take its course. Chaos was caused by low lifes.

That too. But I'm talking about the protests in general.

I suppose that's true, but "person of interest" doesn't connote any legal status. If the cops want to bring him in for questioning they can ask him, but if he tells them to ***** off they can only arrest him or honor his request.

They were standing guard at this guy's house, right?

I guess he would need to agree for them to take him into custody for his own safety.

Can anyone possibly take the latest display of social unrest seriously when the ‘outraged, oppressed and aggrieved’ are making a statement by looting a case of bud light from the corner convenience store.? Way to stick it to The Man!

I’m not, and I’m not. Then again, I’m not concerned with your opinion. Re-read my edited post. I figured you would construe it as I was supporting the cop. I’m supporting following the evidence, regardless of what the masses say.

If you can watch the publicly available video, and say “we need to weight evidence about the victim’s health” then you are the problem.

And if you’re not, hopefully you will be soon.

Nah. I’m good, thanks!

This is graphic.

A "protester' gets caught in the wheels of a semi, after he and some others tried to attack a driver in his cab.

The most absurd part is the indignation in the voice of the guy filming and chasing the truck. I don't know what these people were thinking. It's like all fun and games while they loot, and bait cops, but when the ***** goes very, very awry, they feel like they have been wronged, or the driver was acting out of line.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8373087/Video-shows-man-dragged-FedEx-truck-police-say-driver-frightened-armed-protesters.html

The article calls them "protesters" and Fedex dances around calling them "demonstrators". There are multiple videos, with each person completely shocked that the driver left "Oh my god, they're dragging a man", "this is ***** up, stop the truck" completely oblivious to their own ridiculous behavior and role in what's happening.

I think there are a LOT of kids out there, doing stupid things, thinking it's "cool". When reality sets in, there will be some very sad stories.

Listen to them...they are so self absorbed they are affronted that this driver makes an escape. The one guy expects the driver to stop!

As someone who embraces the duality of man and the universe, now is a good time for a good bloodletting. There is a lot of bad blood that needs to be let out right now, and it's decades in the making. Our nation has been hollowed out and subdivided into all forms of tribalism based on disenfranchisement of all sorts. Some as a function of normal change, but much of it by design. Collectively, we have collapsed in our defense of our own Constitutional rights, and the rights of others. This is the logical destination of such a collective moral collapse also. No one blinked when the collective fear of a virus triggered a government shutdown of everyone's lives. Because of fear, people accepted mutual destruction. As a result, trillions appeared out of no where. No one cares where it came from or the long term effect, as long as the short term survival is secured. Lockdowns are extended and permanent damage is now done. We shipped many companies and careers over seas to our future enemies, and we wonder why everything is upside down now. Well, taking the easy way out and watching jobs disappear was great as long as prices came down. Well, prices don't drop anymore...and now we have very little, while carrying a massive debt. We collectively make the world what it is, and now we get to reap what we have tolerated, and of course, what we have sewn. The restoration of this American Republic as a Constitutional Republic will happen, but not without great pain and even greater courage. What citizen's have forgotten is that just because you can, doesn't mean that you should. The key to harmony in our Constitutional Republic requires personal restraint and discipline. When I see these mobs in the streets, I see the pure form of Democracy. We are not a Democracy. If we chose to be, then be prepared for 51% to kick the 49% in the teeth in perpetuity, and there will be zero motivation to hold fair elections ever again.

I watched it, I think the girl recording is genuinely shocked that they tried to get into the truck. And then is horrified at seeing someone killed in front of her.
