I think Robert Ayers looks intriguing as does Alex Boone. Roman knows Boone very well and he had kinda an off year, so the price might be good. Also, frankly, most Niners players would not really want to be back with the team, and Chip Kelly isn't know for smooth interactions with his players. Osmele is an option as well.

Anyway, what are your guys' thoughts? Who do you think we should be targeting this year?

Look for us to spend most of our FA cash on retention - especially in shoring up the left side of the line in glenn and incognito. A few other contracts might be worked out as well leaving most of our talent fills to come in the draft. Looking at these lists, our needs at LB, OL, DL are better found in the draft. I'm not sure about the safety pool, but my guess is it's leaning the same way. Of course, I'd still like to see us make a splash in that WR pool as there's plenty of depth to fill the WR2 hole in our roster right now with Woods being so 50/50. Notably, James Jones, Alshon, Boldin, Rishard Matthews, or even Travis Benjamin would make for an interesting OTA and training camp. Either way, fingers crossed for another solid draft performance finding talent in late rounds.

Thanks for posting this OP but I admit to finding your ranking system odd to say the least. For example, I would have rated Alshon Jeffrey much higher.

Oh it's not really ranked lol. I'm just listing them. If you want me to rank them, I might edit it and do that.

I like who you mentioned at WR, but I also think we might want to give Nate Washington a shot. Travis Benjamin is my top choice.

Surely we will get someone though. Maybe a smaller signing.

I think the Bills are going to be in the second wave of FA signings. Whaley has said as much. Look for two or three mid tear pick ups. This draft is huge. Whaley has to find three starters in it.

Like to see all our Oline FA's listed brought back.

DE Jared would be a good fit for cheap.

Where are the QBs?

I think we could really use a legit NT Damon Harrison or Terrance Knighton- would Kyle Williams accept a role as a part time passing downs specialist?

We could also use another 3-4 DE - Mo Wilkerson is the best but probably out of our price range maybe Jaye Howard

I think we'll take a run at Demario Davis.

There seems to be a number of high profile OLBs who should pull down big money which is good because it eats up the available pool of funds for LBs in general. ILBs get the short stick.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see them go after Mark Barron. He disappointed strictly at safety and the Rams moved him into a hybrid role and then moved him to OLB altogether when Alec Ogletree got hurt and did pretty well there. He's not great in man coverage but he's an interesting option for a nickel defense as a guy who's better than a typical LB in coverage but is also fairly sturdy against the run and is good at blitzing. Basically, I see him as the sort of player that offers a lot of versatility and who likes to come up and hit in the run game.
