Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) blasted Hilary Clinton on Friday, arguing his Democratic presidential primary rival’s policies generated Michigan’s ailing middle class. “If the people of Michigan want to make a decision about which candidate stood with workers against corporate America and against these disastrous trade agreements, that candidate is Bernie Sanders,” he said during a rally in Traverse City, according to a campaign statement obtained by NBC News. keepthefaith Posted March 6, 2016 Share Posted March 6, 2016 Apparently there is a tax bracket calculator on the Bernie Sanders site that allows one to enter their income and then see what their Fed tax bracket will be under his new programs. A guy that works with us who is a lifelong Democrat went through the exercise and the Bernie calculator estimated his fed tax bracket at 37% which is much higher than what he pays now. He said no way does he want to pay the fed 37% plus all the state and other taxes. Him telling me this was a beautiful moment. An absolutely priceless moment. My average tax rate is about 40% and I get free health care. The problem, it was so badly managed that everyone is switching to private. He did take that into account but since his wife is a teacher, he's basically already on taxpayer funded health insurance of the cadillac variety.
