I would think that a team that is close (or relatively close) with a young receiving core (and maybe a poor return game) would be the destination. Bandit had some good suggestions. I don't believe he would make the 53 man roster due to age and numbers, but if he has something to contribute that someone else doesn't bring, I'd be all for that dynamic. These owners don't give a care about players' long term health. And I agree with others. Welker needs to retire. He's not close to the same player and he is hurting his long term health big time. He should force himself to retire if he has enough brain cells to worry about. The league is kind of in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't' situation - I'm not sure they can force someone to retire without being sued. He is well aware of the risks of concussions. If he chooses to continue to play, that's on him. The opposite side is the only reason they care about concussions now is because of lawsuits.
