Deranged Rhino Posted December 10, 2015 Share Posted December 10, 2015 anyone know when season 2 of Daredevil is gonna start on Netflix Got hooked into the first season Soon, but they haven't announced an official date. Last year it was released in April, so hopefully sooner than that but I wouldn't expect it before the end of January. From my understanding Marvel wants to follow it up with Luke Cage and Iron Fist (the two shows that are shooting now) and then the Defenders (where they all team up with Daredevil/Jessica Jones/Luke Cage/Punisher) in late 16 early 17. Scottys house of the rising sun cover was pretty solid ! Fargo and The Affair both batted 1000 this season. Scenes on beach with ex wife and her telling him she loves him. Whoa. The Shield > The Wire...IMO I have to be honest and say that I just never understood the over the top acclaim for The Wire. I think it's a good show, but has huge boring streaks in it. I watched it after it came out on Amazon and it took me a long time to get through it. I kept losing interest and going on to other shows. The seasons always had a good payoff, and I was glad that I went back and kept watching, but again, I just don't understand why everyone loves it so much. Just not my thing I guess. It's been so long since I watched The Shield it's hard to remember, but I know I loved it at the time. Hard to put it into the same category as The Wire through. The money train plot is incredible and as I am in season 5 the show is starting to come full circle with the strike team from the pilot episode. There was no payoff for the viewer in The Wire. As one person compared the shows on the internet - The Shield is like being on a coke binge while The Wire is like enjoying an expensive bottle of wine. May Day 10 Posted December 23, 2015 Share Posted December 23, 2015 I thought The Shield was entertaining... but it was a bit off the wall, the characters were a bit inconsistent, and some of the acting was poor so I dont consider it up there with the top dramas. I have started watching the X Files. Never really caught more than a couple episodes. Really good show. Watched the first 8 episodes, only 1 dud. I think it's pretty cool how they tell this story, next season will be very interesting as well. This is a well written show with very good actors, next up is Homeland.... Weak acting by some of the major characters There were alot of different plot threads but none really in depth. If they had followed the SS Obergrupenfuhrer (or whatever that long title he had was) thread or the Reich/Empire relationship it would have been much better.
