Who says that's what we want?  Not me, certainly.  Not many D's that I know (but of course, most were formally R's- there are many of us.  We don't take well to moronic wanna be dictators or their cult followers.

The Dept of Education and the National Education Assn sure isn't what the GOP wants.

You seem to be under the mistaken  impression that I believe that myth that our gun violence is driven by mental illness.

It’s not. It’s the ease of access to guns.

And this is why you are not worth conversing with on thos topic, guns have been available in this country for 250 years but this issue ilhas only popped up in the past 25, and you believe it is a situation 250 years old. Your so unaware you likely believe the Allen shooter is a white supremacists

Im not even opposed to rational gun control, but your ideas would destroy you newfound home in the Democratic Party.

My entire oppo to gun control is simply rooted in my complete distrust of you people when it comes to taking away rights of Americans and not stopping at simply “rational” gun control .. as evidenced by you advocating taking away the handgun of a  single mother in a rough part of town who can’t rely on her local govt to protect her.

In regards to your delusions about “anti-vaxxers” being some kind of a problem when the vax doesn’t even stop transmission … back at you …. My little brother was forced to get vaxxed due to Biden’s mandate and was in the hospital a week later with heart issues, so with all disrespect, f**k your moral grandstanding.

Is your argument that mental illness didn’t exist when the country was founded and is new over the past 25 years?

Or is it that absolutely nothing has changed around guns, gun culture, lethality of guns, or availability of guns in the last 250 years?

Just checking in about common sense gun laws that help With gun homicides.

so far, enforce out of state straw purchases… reasonable

and get rid of semi automatic (basically all non muskets and revolvers)

I support it. As an act of good faith I think every democrat should surrender their firearms immediately.

As the smarter and more progressive part of the electorate they should lead by example.

I expect every democrat that chines into this thread going forward has no firearms.

Well unless it’s a musket or bolt action BB gun or something

Lets see, response with nothing to do regarding the thread ?    Must be B.S.

As Democrats push national gun control legislation, two Reps introduce national “Stand Your Ground” bill.

Neither bill should be a federal law.

Seems weird, @aristocrat that two Hispanic guys would have RWDS (Right Wing Death Squad) patches, right bro?

Cant possibly be right! Say it ain’t so!

Oh man I was waiting for something stupid in response to the reports the shooter is Hispanic.

This is beyond all expectations.

Texas Mall Shooter Identified…and the Liberal Media Peddled a Cringy Narrative in Response

c2e7f159-31d3-4b95-a4d8-a3ec133ffc1b-105

Around 3:30 PM CST, a gunman pulled into a mall in Allen, Texas, and opened fire. He killed eight people before being neutralized by law enforcement. Seven others were injured in the attack; three are in critical condition. The police officer who stopped the perpetrator reportedly responded to a different call before the shooter opened fire into the crowd. The incident occurred at the Allen Premium Outlets. The clips posted on social media remain too graphic to embed, but a quick search will present you with the grisly images from this senseless rampage. We don’t know the motive for the mass shooting, but we have identified the suspect: his name is Mauricio Garcia

Expect this story to saturate the media for a couple more days, but it will evaporate for obvious political reasons. It’s not a white guy, so the Left and their propaganda machine, which is allergic to reporting on crimes, which nonwhite individuals commit, will turn off for the time being. It will meet the same fate as the Texas family wiped out by Francisco Oropesa, an illegal alien who decided to kill his neighbors. And yes, Mr. Oropesa was known to immigration enforcement, being deported numerous times. Oropesa killed five people, including a nine-year-old, but that story, like this Allen shooting, will soon vanish. If it doesn’t fit the narrative or can’t be used to attack Republicans, it goes away. It’s not right, but that’s how liberal newsrooms operate.

Then again, there is one detail about the shooter that's bizarre: he was supposedly a neo-Nazi sympathizer. Should this pan out, the liberal media has a hook to discuss their other favorite pastime: expounding about the phantom white nationalist threat to the country.

Quote

ALLEN, Tex. — The 33-year-old gunman who opened fire on an outlet mall in a Dallas suburb Saturday, killing at least eight people, had an apparent fascination with white supremacist or neo-Nazi beliefs that are now being examined by investigators as a possible motive for the attack, people familiar with the investigation said Sunday.

Mauricio Garcia, a local resident, had multiple weapons on him and five additional guns in his car nearby, said people familiar with the investigation who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the ongoing probe.

Authorities have not released a motive, but a patch on his chest said “RWDS,” an acronym that stands for Right Wing Death Squad, according to people familiar with the investigation. The phrase is popular among right wing extremists, neo-Nazis and white supremacists, they said, and while there is still a great deal of evidence to analyze and authorities have not reached any conclusions yet, investigators are approaching the shooting as a possible hate crime.

Oh you don't say? Well now it's obviously a George Soros-funded CIA psyop.

The Deep State has worked to allow Covid

Rig the 2020 election.

Kill JFK (let’s continue to ignore this - they really released this at the right time none of the late 70 something Boomers care anymore).

But no - in no way could the forces at work (put there in modern times by Team Obama) to influence public opinion toward a move to disarm itself.  The Deep State eliminates it’s only threat.  The people and the 2nd amendment.

Nope.  Impossible.  Can’t happen.

As improbable as getting the entire planet to comply with wearing a face diaper and ruining the lives of millions of kids that lost school time, athletics, and socialization.
