Mr. WEO
Ryan Fitzpatrick is partly responsible for getting both Chan Gailey and Mike Munchak fired In back to back years. Wrong. Munchak was "fired" after being offered a long term contract for twice his salary. Gailey was a joke
SageAgainstTheMachine
It's not Ryan Fitzpatrick's fault that teams can't find a better QB than friggin' Ryan Fitzpatrick.
BuffaloBill
It's not Ryan Fitzpatrick's fault that teams can't find a better QB than friggin' Ryan Fitzpatrick. Yep. Keep in mind Marrone has placed his full bet on EJ. If EJ is not the real deal then Marrone's tenure could go up in flames also.
CardinalScotts
Yep. Keep in mind Marrone has placed his full bet on EJ. If EJ is not the real deal then Marrone's tenure could go up in flames also. I'm willing to risk it

San Jose Bills Fan
Bills could do a lot worse than bringing back Fitz as a back up to EJ On one hand, there's been a year of healing and Fitz doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to hold a grudge. On the other hand, he signed a two-year deal with the Titans.
littlelouie
Bring back PicksPatrick, he can teach EJ how to throw interceptions. No one is as good at throwing picks as PicksPatrick.
Mr. WEO
Bring back PicksPatrick, he can teach EJ how to throw interceptions. No one is as good at throwing picks as PicksPatrick. Nah, EJ's doing just fine (2.9% int rate comparable to Fitz's 3.4%) in that category...

Nick the Greek
Chan actually picked Fitz as a starter. That bad decision is on Chan. In Tennessee, Locker was the starter before going down. There's a little bit of a difference there

Sisyphean Bills
I'm willing to risk it Well, apparently you are not Marrone. Marrone placing all of his chips on a single bet seems rather gallant perhaps. On the other hand, blowing the place up every 3 years or so because the bets never pay off has helped create a culture of losing, instability, and futility for 14 years. I'd like Marrone to have every chance at success. Not just be the latest in a long line of talk-toughs that hop on the sled and ride it down the hill into oblivion. They have informed Locker he will have to compete for the starting JOB next year! Didn't they fire the coach?
Nanker
Fitsgibbons threw The Bills' offer the bird and then signed with the Flaming Thumbtacks for about the same money we offered him. Don't re-sign him, or you'll be saying how he's an Owner Killer someday too.
C.Biscuit97
This is stupid. Yeah, the backup Qb cost the coach his job. Fitz is one of the best backup Qbs in the NFL. But there's a reason guys are backups.
Miyagi-Do Karate
Chan actually picked Fitz as a starter. That bad decision is on Chan. Not really. He was handed Trent Edwards as his starter. The smartest thing he ever did was bench him for fitz.
Hapless Bills Fan
Chan actually picked Fitz as a starter. That bad decision is on Chan. In Tennessee, Locker was the starter before going down. There's a little bit of a difference there This. While Chan didn't acquire Fitz, I'm sure Chan had input into the decision to offer Fitz starter money and to not enter the QB Draft Sweepstakes 'cuz he thought Fitz was The Man. On the other hand, there aren't many teams that can lose the starting QB and not miss a beat, and actually Fitz did a pretty good job for Tenn as the backup and is one of the better backups in the league. He's just not the guy who can carry a team in the absence of stout D etc. They have informed Locker he will have to compete for the starting JOB next year! I would imagine the Flaming Thumbtacks will be drafting a QB. Or at least, they will if the new coach is smart.
Mark Vader
Fitz also started some games for the Bengals, and Marvin Lewis is still the head coach there. Even if he doesn't deserve to be.
