But the response sadly is likely to be a canned one....

We review the roster in the upcoming weeks and everyone will be looked at. EJ has taken steps forward and we really like what we have seen so far. EJ will really benefit from the offseason and his game experience. We always seek to take the best player available... Blah blah

And if he answered truthfully, the bloviating masses would skewer Marrone for giving away his team's offseason strategy. There is a reason responses are canned, and honestly, Marrone is much more candid than some guys like Belicheck -- the master of the canned response.

Can you tell us all...?

How is the Family Dog ? First season as a head coaches dog and all .

Thanks Coach for all you do here.

Looking forward to a strong 2014 building upon this seasons efforts !

We all know that EJ has a very strong and likelable character, given his 3 knee injuries over the past season is there a chance that you and the organization have let themselves be charmed into believing him to be the long term (franchise QB) solution for this team?

"Coach, with the league trending towards athletic, big-play tight ends, the offense in need of an upgrade, and the likely departure of Scott Chandler, will drafting a tight end of that type be one of your top priorities or will you be content to stay with limited-potential spare parts such as Tony Moeaki and Lee Smith?"

or

"Coach, it's well documented that CJ Spiller was plagued by a high ankle sprain for much of the season; however, when healthy, he appeared to be miscast in this offense. One thing your predecessor did very well was utilizing CJ to his full potential. Will you and Nathaniel Hackett be revamping your schemes to take advantage of your most explosive and dynamic play-maker?"

Does your upset victory of the Patsies* yesterday make Lewis the starter for next year going into training camp?

Doug,

Now that Thad Lewis managed to give the bills their first victory in Gillette stadium, will Lewis get

the opportunity to become the full time starter in camp next summer?

Hah! Beat me to it!
