I posted and article today on NFL Draft Zone dot Com and I thought you guys would see what the Franchise prices are for 2013. The OL is 9 million while the S is only 6.9 million. Just because they don't want to sign before they come a FA doesn't mean Buffalo isn't their 1st option. 1st option is one thing. Getting paid is another. It's a business, they want the mister signing bonus. I can't blame them. To answer the question, its obvious to me that Byrd is the Likely Franchise tag candidate. I would never let that guy leave. BobDVA Posted February 26, 2013 Share Posted February 26, 2013 The fact of the matter, is there are a ton of FA safeties on the market, Ed Reed, Kenny Phillips, Charles Woodson, LeRon Landry, Dashon Goldson, Will Allen, Chris Crocker. Any one of them can help out for a year or two. But there is only one top flight guard, Andy Levitre. If it had to be, Aaron Williams can be made into that stop gap free safety for a year, but there is no replacing Levitre without wasting a first or second round draft pick. Square up LT, C, RT and put a big fat ass who can play decent and keep 330lb DT's off your QB and move on. When he wants a ton of jack say 'Thank you for your service' and move on.
