An NFL budget doesn't look at every player at every position the same. It doesn't matter if one player costs more bottom line dollars than the other when franchising. It is mostly irrelevant on which position is more expensive. The more expensive positions to franchise will have a larger budget associated to them. It comes down to need and availability. In the case the Bills need both and need to sign one soon. That way they can use the Franchise Tag threat more effectively with the other. Edited February 27, 2013 by Why So Serious? I posted and article today on NFL Draft Zone dot Com and I thought you guys would see what the Franchise prices are for 2013. The OL is 9 million while the S is only 6.9 million.
