  1. I obviously have ruffled some feathers on this site over the past couple years as a member. I would like to apologize and let you all know I was not trying to spam your site or trying to drive the traffic on my site. I wanted to just put out articles that were Bills related and put them on your site, so you were not the last to find out about it. I guess, there are some on this site that feel I abuse my rights and I am doing something wrong. It is fine, I will no longer post on this message board, you have my word on that. I have broke several stories way before the Bills media people and I am thankful for the followers that do remain consistent. I would like to thank each and all of you for your comments and feedback, but I think I have wore out my welcome here at TBD. I post Bills news two days before it comes out and get suspended by the moderators because I have no link to prove what I am saying. So when I make an article with the story, I am spamming. I guess my news is not legit, but that is fine. As for the few good people I have met on this site, Thank You. I would have not landed a contract with Fox Sports/MSN if it wasn't for you. You have been wonderful and I hope you all have a wonderful time here on TBD. It is a pretty amazing site, with some great members, but some people on this site are more disgruntled than Devil. I wish you all the best in your endeavors. GO BILLS Biggest Bills Fan Damond Talbot aka @drocksthaparty Mods, Please delete my account. GOD BLESS
  2. COULD DA’RICK ROGERS GET CUT BY THE BILLS? I DON’T THINK IT HAPPENS I have been listening to my fellow Bills fans and media for the past couple days talking about Wide Receiver Da’Rick Rogers. This is why I believe the Bills will not cut Rogers. Rogers is a very amazing talent, who was a top wide out at the University of Tennessee. Rogers biggest problem was “Mary Jane”, during his college years at Tenneessee, weed caused him quite a bit of problems long term. It ultimately caused Rogers a shot at playing last season with Tyler Bray and company. Instead he had to travel to Tennessee Tech and play in the OVC. After a ten touchdown season for Tech, where Da’Rick was a class act per his coaches, Rogers showed improvement off the field and had no reports of drug use or behavior problems. The OVC teams defending Rogers knew what they had in front of them, and always had double coverage on Rogers by playing a safety over the top on almost every play. He still made huge grabs and showed his talents. After the draft, do you know who the Bills were on the phone with first? Yep, you guessed it, Da’Rick Rogers. The signing bonus money never did come out, why is that? I will tell you, when teams call these players they are in a bidding war, or offering out stuff to intrigue the players/agents to sign with them. The Teams only have 75,000 dollars to give out for signing bonuses, for all their undrafted free agents. Which is when a team will usually offer out better things, such as playing time, roster spots and so forth. I think deep down inside if there were 15 teams calling Rogers the Bills told him that he would have a spot if he came to Buffalo (I could be wrong), but cannot see why Rogers would chose Buffalo over 14 other teams. The deal had to be intriguing. The Bills have seen this before, the preseason comes, And guess who shows up MARCUS EASLEY. If there was a Pro-Bowl for preseason guys he would be a three year pro bowler. Well you heard it right, 3 years. The Bills have kicked the tires on this guy long enough. He has had two major injuries ending his season and is another injury away from being out this league. I don’t think he survives another roster cut. Next is Chris Hogan, the Monmouth product. Listen I understand he has had a great camp and preseason and that is awesome, but he has been cut from several teams before. He can easily be put on a practice squad and forgotten about. Rogers on the other hand will be scooped up so fast it will be crazy. Another wide receiver fighting for a spot is Brad Smith. Brad was a Chan Gailey guy, these are new coaches. I don’t care if Buffalo made him take a pay cut or not, if they don’t want you they will cut you. A perfect example of this is Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Mark Anderson. This is a business, and yes while Smith helps you in Special Teams, it is not a guarantee he makes this roster, especially with Flash Goodwin taking over Smith’s role. Because of the Bills Youth at the position I think Smith has a good shot at staying, but I would not guarantee it. I think the Bills have some great wide outs, but the question is how many wide outs will they keep? The answer to me is keep one extra and have two practice squad guys. This way in case of injury you have solid back-ups. You are very young at the position and need to keep at least 6 wide outs. Here is who i keep: Stevie Johnson, Robert Woods, T.J. Graham, Marquise Goodwin, Da’Rick Rogers and Brad Smith. Lastly I try to keep both Brandon Kaufman and Chris Hogan on the Practice squad. Bills will need depth and the only real player getting cut here is former draft pick Marcus Easley, who has given you nothing in the years he has been in the league, except an amazing pre-season performances. Why would you give up on a guy like Da’Rick Rogers who has been in Buffalo for only a few months, but your fighting to keep a guy on the team who has been on the roster for the past three years and giving you nothing? The talent that Rogers has is unteachable, (Size, Speed, and Hands) but he is injury free and younger. He is a taller receiver, but will need to be groomed. Do you remember Stevie Johnson his rookie year? He needed time too, how did that turn out? #GoBills
  3. Buffalo bills have released S Don Unamba
  4. Tuel is a very good system QB, he will be good in bills five wide sets. He would not fit many other systems. He is a good back up
  5. @DraftDiamonds: Did the Bills find their biggest steal in undrafted rookie QB Jeff Tuel? #BillsMafia #TuelTime #NFL
  6. BuffaninATL, I know that, he was a former Crimson Tide Safety. It didn't say former Crimson Tide Starting Safety
  7. B.J. Scott was not signed by the Bills, but they did in fact sign a player. I don't know who. There were several safeties there, but I cannot confirm anything as of now
  8. His workout is schedule for 4 pm. It was at Noon, but they bumped it back to 4 pm
  9. No Saint, most teams will tell players that they have worked out before to stay around. B.J. has been living with Dareus and actually sitting and learning the playbook. That is good for him, because he should be getting the call
  10. B.J. has been staying with Marcell Dareus for the past two weeks. The Bills have had him on stand by. They told him make sure he had a suit and is ready. That sounds like pretty good news. I don't know how bad Duke's injury is, but this is the week we play. So it could mean good news for the former Crimson Tide Safety
  11. He has had several workouts, and was on Montreal Allouettes. His forty will hurt him, but the kid is a great athlete. You cannot teach intelligence
  12. Actually Duke was injured, so it might just be a back up plan to let him rest.
  13. BREAKING NEWS: Former South Alabama FS Standout B.J. Scott has a workout with the Buffalo Bills today
  14. I still like this signing, but there is no way he makes the roster
  15. http://nfldraftdiamonds.com/buffalo-bills-sign-fastest-wr-in-the-draft/ Terrell was a very good player at Northern Iowa.
  16. His problems were minimal compared to some there Saint. Your title fits well, but I see your point. While I don't feel I left out a lot of what Tez did wrong, I do feel that Da'Rick had the same amount of problems. To be honest, teams will look at multiple failed drug tests worse than a person who is not working out. If you go back and look, Vontaze was given an award for the preseason of his senior year, for the most fit and best gym guy on the team. He admitted in a story and to the media that he took his chances for granted because he had no one to really push him. That is not good, but at the end of they day. The guy is a good guy, he was just given a bad rap. It's ok, you can be upset No Saint, I understand but at the end of the day. You will become a huge Da'Rick Rogers fan.
  17. Vontaze problems were this: He fought a player in the lockeroom, he fail a drug test at combine, he had 15 personal fouls in college, and he didn't take ownership when scouts ask him why he didn't perform well. That is all with Burfict. I covered him extremely hard Da'Rick had over 10 failed urine tests, and was expelled for that. He was clean at Tenn. Tech What is the difference? Not much, small issues to be honest. You have players that are full pledged gang bangers, guys who have crazy charges on them and have been drug users and dealers. They tell you during the interviews They are simple, tell us the truth and we won't hold it against you. I have watched them, and a team will disregard everything if your truthful.
  18. Maddenboy I disagree, you cannot take anything away from Rogers. The kid is an SEC all american who made dumb decisions. He can play without a doubt.
  19. Exactly DStebb, you hit that on the nose. That is why I compared the two of them. I think that Da'Rick was an elite talent before the mess ups. That is why he is such as steal. He costs us nothing, if he shows up to the game, we win.
  20. I have to give Coach Tuesday credit that was awesome, but let's be honest so far this kid has been impressive in camps. He is a free draft pick. I remember when Vontaze was called by Marvin Lewis, Marvin told him he would give him an opportunity but if he slipped once it was over. Vontaze didn't act up he played very well and shined. I think that was important. Da'Rick Rogers has never really had that support, but at Tennessee Tech he has not had any problems. He was the guy that feel out the draft due to character. He will now get a shot to prove his worth. I feel he will shock everyone.
  21. I really think a lot of Da'Rick Rogers, but every year a guy slips through the cracks. I think Da'Rick Rogers is that guy, here is my article, what do you think? http://nfldraftdiamonds.com/is-darick-rogers-this-years-vontaze-burfict/
  22. Here you go folks, my first news at my new site that starts 8/1/2013 @DraftDiamonds: #Bills news Tomorrow The Buffalo Bills will have Randy Colling the DE in for a workout #AFL standout from Cleveland Gladiators #BillsMAFIA He would actually be a DE in this defense. He is 6'5 and 308. He played for Pioneer Central in High School (Western New York) He played for Gannon which is a small D2 school. He was an All American at Gannon He earned his way into several teams camps/workouts. His last rodeo was with the Jets. He worked as a DE for Mike Pettine last year, and Mike has been in contact with his agent all summer. He was told he needed more film, that is why he signed onto the Arena League. In the AFL, he was a standout/starter for the Cleveland Gladiators. The season finished for Cleveland last week, and they are now bringing him in for a work out. Randy could have a good in with Mike Pettine. So don't be surprised if he get's signed. Last year the Packers actually tried him at Guard as well. He is a pretty athletic guy for a big guy.
  23. Buffalo Bills hold their rookie mini camp tomorrow, What to look for By: Damond Talbot Tomorrow many football players around the league will show up for their rookie mini camps. They will be treated like gold, as they are picked up from the Airport, taken to the facility and when it is all said and done, they will be popping each other at the end of the day. Buffalo is one team that media will be keeping an eye on, not because of their new coaching staff but rather because of their draft. E.J. Manuel is the man to beat in Buffalo for the starting job, in my opinion and he will have an opportunity to perform this week. Some players that the Bills fans need to be keeping an eye on more than others are these players listed below, because they have the potential to make the roster and contribute right away. I will start off with the draft picks. I think you can honestly rule out both E.J. Manuel and Robert Woods, because they should both be starters come week one. Buffalo could go into week 1 with several rookies starting, which rookies are they? Find out here: Kendall Gaskins – FB – Richmond – Kendall Gaskins is pretty blessed in Buffalo, because first off he is a perfect fit for a west coast offense full back. He has great hands, and speed and is big enough to block. Gaskins is competing with Frank Summers and another undrafted free agent Drew Smith from Albany. This spot is up for grabs but when Buffalo failed to re-sign Corey McIntyre they went younger at the position. I can see Gaskins coming in and taking over from week 1. Kiko Alonso – LB – Oregon – Buffalo Bills have passed on bringing in any free agent inside linebacker and even traded their former current Mike LB in Kelvin Sheppard. With that being said they went ILB in round 2. They drafted Kiko, who has some off the field issues in his past, but this guy could come in right away and start. The Bills are extremely high on Nigel Bradham and at this point, Kiko Alonso will be going up against Arthur Moats and several others at the Mike spot. Alonso is what the Bills need at linebacker because he can drop in coverage. He is long, and fast, which is a great asset to have in the AFC East with guys like Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez in the division. I expect Alonso to start as long as he picks up the offense quick enough. Duke Williams – S – Nevada – Duke Williams is competing with Aaron Williams and Da’Norris Searcy to start, but if Jairus Byrd decides to hold out, Duke could be a great player to step in and take over. Duke has good ball skills and is a very hard hitter. He was drafted he should be on the roster. Dustin Hopkins – K – Florida State – Let’s see here, Buffalo has drafted a kicker in back to back drafts, do you think they are happy with their current kicker? They should be because he has been one of the more reliable players on the roster. I think age is going to play a role in this decision but I see Dustin Hopkins starting week one. Last year the Bills released Brian Moorman and kept Shawn Powell, this year Rian Lindell could be getting the boot. Da’Rick Rogers – WR – Tennessee/ Tennessee Tech – Buffalo has said numerous times that they believe that Rogers had a first round grade on their board. They were extremely excited to get him. Stevie Johnson does a very good job at teaching younger wide receivers. He has become a father like figure in their roles as a player. Stevie took both David Nelson and Donald Jones and turned them both into very capable wide receivers. I think Da’Rick Rogers and Robert Woods have way more upside than both Jones and Nelson, watch out AFC East Buffalo might have the best young receiving core in the league. Keith Pough – LB – Howard – Pough is smaller at 6’3 and 230 but the kid is always around the ball. I can see Keith pushing some of the veterans for a spot on this roster. He is very good at rushing the passer and getting to the player in the backfield. Keith is one of my sleeper picks to make the 53 man roster. Vernon Kearney – CB – Lane – Vernon Kearney is a small school gem. Tons of people haven’t heard of him, and that is the way he likes it. He was at the Raycom All Star game and the Texas versus the Nation game with guys like Jumal Rolle and others and Kearney beat them all out to start both games. He is 6’1, and 180 pounds, he is super long with 31 inch arms and runs a 4’3. Teams were scared to throw to his side of the football at Lane. Kearney has the most upside of any of the Bills UDFA’s because he has never really had the opportunity to work out in a gym and train with the big school guys. When he gets the chance, Kearney could be the huge steal and take over the nickel spot. You can see it on www.nomorelinks . com
