Since then, they posted a perfect regular season, only to lose in the SB. Got caught in the spygate scandal. Lost another SB to the Giants and now have lost the AFC title game at home to the Ravens. Some will (perhaps rightfully) assign an asterisk to their accomplishmets, but it will not be be the prevailing view. Does a dynasty last forever? Kelly the Dog Posted January 21, 2013 Share Posted January 21, 2013 The reason they are a dynasty, and one of the best ever, is the same reason that the Dallas Cowboys were a dynasty from the late 1960s to the early 1980s when they were 12-2, 11-2-1, 10-4, 8-6, 10-4, 11-3, 12-2, 12-4, 11-5, 12-4, 12-4... pretty much every single year, they were the team to beat, most years some team rose above and beat them, and usually then went back down for a year or two or forever.
