These guys have to work their asses off to get to where they are and maintain that level of competitiveness. As to why they care..that is beyond my comprehension level In terms of the professional athlete..to our experience and interests, it is relevant. To a huge segemnt of people, sports and athletes are every bit of much ado about nothing as we view these reality stars. I remember talking to my barber many years ago and I was bitching about how much money football players make. He said until he can get 70,000 people to watch him cut hair they'll always make more than him. Good point. Does that family have any claim to fame other than their father getting OJ off for murder? That's the only significant moment I've ever heard that name attached to. They are famous because they are a family with money, friends with other families with money, and kim made a sex tape that was "leaked" out to the public. Shes attractive and willing to be seen nude, so people will follow whatever she does and buy products that she endorses. There really isn't that much difference between athletes and "celebrities" like them. They are both overpaid, and what tehy do for a living really has no positive aspect to the world as a whole except for it being "entertainment" for the masses. Sure athletes have to "practice" and "work hard" to stay in the league, but the celebrities have to work hard at keeping themselves looking their best, and alot of them have to have most of their privacy given up so we can all watch and be entertained by their lives. See, I knew Jenner was in the picture..but had no idea that the lawyer in the OJ trial was the dad ...and i have two people in the house that watch that show I should know this pop culture stuff better..with a wife and daughetr who can't get enough of this stuff .. Of all the trivial, meaningless garbage to take an interest in, why fleeting celebrity? Kardashian is the most over produced, totally staged, and profoundly boring show on TV. Nothing happens. At least Jersey Shore is good for a laugh when I catch my girlfriend watching that. Kardashian can't even offer the type of train wreck quality you get from a springer or Jersey Shore. After taking in an episode of Kardashian the latest happenings with Brad, Angelina and Jennifer seem like important, world changing events. At least they are in movies and shows and participate in something that may have a shred of significance. Even Kim's sex tape was boring as hell. Paris Hilton's night vision porn was like Star Wars compared to the unadulterated @#%& and total yawn fest that was the Kim and Ray J tape. How do you screw that up?
