The Seahawks haven’t gotten the kind of play they expected when they made Aaron Curry the fourth overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft so they are giving someone else a chance. Curry has been demoted to the second team and rookie K.J. Wright will take his place as a starting outside linebacker. Curry has been a starter since arriving in Seattle after a decorated career at Wake Forest, but he has never been particularly impressive at the professional level. In 32 career games, Curry has recorded 123 tackles and 5.5 sacks. He had his only NFL interception in last season’s playoff loss to the Bears. Before the Bills took Maybin at #11, there's only one guy (Raji at #9) who's lived up to his draft billing. Obviously Matt Stafford is coming on strong now, but until 2 weeks ago it was iffy. Then after Maybin, you have 5 pro-bowlers in the next 14 picks, NOT including Oher, Josh Freeman, and Jeremy Maclin. unreal lol. nfl scouts suck. reddogblitz Posted September 23, 2011 Share Posted September 23, 2011 Seattle's draft record is about as bad as ours. Curry is a bust. 2010 #4 pick Russell Okung can't get on the field. Most of their other high picks are traded or out right gone. The one shining light for them drafting though is Earl Thomas.
