Carson Palmer Retired

Al Davis and Ralph Wilson may be senile, but Mike Brown is the worst owner in the NFL, period.

I second that. They are a rebuilding team. He tore his ACL in the plyoffs, has had multiple arm injuries and hasn't missed any games except for one season. He threw for over 4,000 twice and came within less than 100 yards of doing it again last year. He has played his heart out for the team. Mike Brown won't do the respectful thing and at least get something for him in a trade so that he can at least salvage the last few years of his career with a contender

Why would you let him retire when you could get something for him? This story doesn't sound like its ongoing. It sounds like a done deal. And next year instead of Brett Favre coming back we'll be talking about Palmer.

Unless there's something more to the story, this is straight up stubborness from Brown. Instead of just taking the ego hit and doing something to help his team he's going to prove he's top dog. Cinci fans better hope there's more to the story. Money can overcome just about anything (proven by the fact that Oakland can still find a coach), but this type of behavior has to have some affect on player retention and free agency aquisitions, and it's not like Cinci is a hotspot to begin with.

I'm sure there are some Redskin fans in DC willing to disagree with you.

Doesn't matter which fledgling franchise thinks their owner is the worst. If you're not making the case for Brown being the worst, you're wrong. Period.

He has a scouting department of less than 10.

His "big board" is Kiper's big board. Literally. LITERALLY.

He's only 31. He has a few good years left in him. Actually they could be great years if he gets away fron Cincy.

Carson Palmer will wait until Bengals sign a bunch of players and then 'unretire' forcing Bengals to alter contracts or cut players and then just retire again. Repeat this until they do not have money for him. This is how the superstars control the front offices with new contract - you need to sign to cap so no room to pay big dollar players and no one will enforce making players give back bonuses.

Yes. And if he really wanted to f with them, he'd show up toward the end of the preseason, have them make him active and force them to do all of those moves, then promptly retire again at 12:59 PM on September 11th.

I read an article about that earlier in the year, and Mike Brown basically indicated that he would not give in to trade demands so as not to set a precedent. On a team like the Bengals, I think his stance is somewhat justified, because otherwise you'd have half the team making demands like that.

That's one of the great things about our Bills, IMO...you VERY rarely hear players talking about how they want to get out of Blo. The vast majority of them enjoy playing here and they don't throw us under the bus when the leave...just the opposite, actually. Aside from Willis and RJ, I can't think of any other examples where a player left and said anything negative about being a Bill.

Cinci doesn't even have an indoor practice facility. They are the only team in the NFL without one. For comparison, there are multiple high school teams in Cincinnati that have indoor facilities.

Will new rules teams will barely need indoor facilities. Teams have trouble tackling now will have a lot more trouble since they will not be able to practice.

I'm calling you on this one. The Washington Redskins don't have an indoor practice facility either,,,which is a joke since they practice in 100 degrees and dangerous lightning storms and also have the occasional big December snow storms. As recently as last season they moved a couple practices to an airplane hangar at nearby Dulles airport. Talk about cheap...Snyder!
