  1. Allen on our 2014 squad and that team might actually go 21-0 But the best of our drought vs any team with Allen would lose to Josh and crew because our drought QBs were just that bad.
  2. This is going to be a long post about an incredible experience for anyone who wants to read it - if you don't want to read the bulk of it you can skip to the most important part - look for the bolded header below. Quick back story - Lake Tahoe is a special place to me and my wife, we both spent a lot of time up there when we each were growing up. Now we are blessed to live about 90 min from there, and my mother-in-law recently bought a house in Truckee (about 20 min from the Lake) where we will be spending lots of time with our 2 boys throughout the years to where they get to grow up with it also being a special place for them. My wife surprised me for my bday (which is actually today) with tickets to the practice rounds on Wed and Thursday to the ACC Golf Tournament, something I have never attended before, and just so we can try and see and meet Josh. She is a die hard Niner fan and even with some of her favorite Niners there too like Kittle, she made this all about Josh - shout out to my amazing wife. I moved to Southern California in 1997, so I had not gotten to spend too much time in Tahoe after that and never been to the ACC, nor did I even realize how big of a deal it was in South Lake Tahoe. I spent most of my time in west Lake Tahoe around Tahoe City and Truckee growing up, so it was a treat to spend time in an area only been a couple times in passing. NOTE: We will be making this an annual event for us and cant wait to bring our boys who were too young this trip with my oldest just turning 2 and my other son 9 months. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this event to anyone who has thought about going. Players are so accessible, event is so much fun, and its on the Lake. The ACC Golf Tournaments - Josh's tee time was 1pm on hole 16 - his group showed, but no Josh. Great group of 4 guys telling the fans there to see Josh he was late (his flight was delayed and landed late), but is still coming, so to follow their group if they want to see him as he was going to join the group once he got there on whatever hole they were on. Steph Curry was the group behind them, also not there on his tee time, but due to arrive as well. So we used this time to go check out Austin Reeves (I am also a Lakers fan) in the group in front of Josh's and lag back and watch Steph arrive and follow him a couple holes before catching back up with Josh's group a few holes later expecting Josh to arrive soon. I spent a lot of time approaching any Bills fan I saw on holes who were not there to get the info telling them they will never see him if they stay on that hole, to follow the group that just passed if they want to see him. It felt good as a Bills fan to share the news and excitement, especially for kids, but it was also just so much fun meeting so many fellow Bills Mafia too. Makes me wonder if I met anyone from here without knowing it lol. It was on hole 2 where I got to meet Josh's mom, who was following the group with Josh's clubs and stuff. My wife and I talked to her for probably 10 min, and my wife and her mom'd out talking about raising Josh, us raising 2 boys, etc. Listening to his mom talk about him, raising him, the adversity he went through, saying god always had a hand on him through all the struggles to get seen and taken seriously was incredible. She oozes class, warmth, love, pride, humility, and just kindness. We had a great couple of conversations with her. Then as my wife and I are walking from the tee to the green after Josh's group tee'd off and were half way down the fairway, my wife says look out, there is a golf cart coming - ITS JOSH - and we don't realize until he is passing the two of us where we shouted out GO BILLS and he yelled back GO BILLS as he passed us with Sam Darnold. Kids start racing up the incline to the green, kids who had been trickling around following the group who were lucky enough to know. The best part about the practice rounds is that it isn't crowded, makes a more intimate feel for everything, like you are watching your buddies play. Josh took the time to acknowledge all the kids, even sign things even though he kept telling everyone he will sign after the round as he had to keep the round moving, especially since they were a large group. Other people we saw were not like this, they were not giving much time to the fans or kids, even in a practice round. Josh was different, and it was majorly apparent just how different he is as a person and his full awareness of just how important he is to the kids there to see him. First green, hole he joined mid way, he was chipping maybe 2 feet in front of me, thats how close you could get in such a causal setting. Got a great video of it. He kept making time for kids in between, telling adults who were IMO inappropriately trying to get Josh's attention to sign their stuff "Just the kids right now guys". There were some adults inappropriately IMO trying to get in with the kids to get stuff signed even though Josh kept saying just the kids right now because he really didn't have a lot of time to do much with the pace, so he wanted to use that for the kids, and rightfully so. Funny story - his mom and one of the guys from the original 4 some who I had spoken to a lot were driving up to the next hole and she hit me in the arm with her golf cart (at a slow pace, it was funny, nothing other than that). When we got to the next hole I told her "Well we should probably exchange information now and have my people call your people and get this worked out" and we had a big laugh about it. So next few holes anytime she passed me in the cart she would swerve at me like she was gonna finish the job as we kept laughing about it - again, his mom is awesome. My personal best moment with Josh came when he passed by me walking to another hole and I just congratulated him on his marriage and he gave me a fist bump. My wife got in on camera on her iphone, it was awesome (also congratulated Sam Darnold on his season and new contract and also got a fist bump from him). My instagram stories post was a shot with Josh reaching out for the first bump and a shot below of it of us fist bumping and in between was my caption that said: "I went to the ACC Golf Tourney and all I got was fisted by a GOAT" WHY JOSH IS DIFFERENT AND A MVP IN LIFE After hole 9, there was no break as they didn't start on 1 remember, so they had to get rushed over by golf cart to the 10th tee. Josh and Darnold were walking the course, so they brought a golf cart with a back seat that faces out the back to shuttle them with the rest of the group quickly over to 10. As they were driving right in front of us the most incredible moment happened that says EVERYTHING you need to know about Josh. They were passing someone in Bills gear standing by themselves with the person they were there with. Josh yelled to the golf cart driver STOPPPPP as they passed him recognizing this person was a special needs person with Down Syndrome. Josh jumped out of the cart and went over to him and gave him a huge hug, signed his stuff and took pictures with him. I want you to realize that the person did NOT ask him to stop, the cart Josh was in was just driving down this path and Josh saw him and immediately demanded they stop and let him out so he could go to this person. It was one of the most impressive and touching moments I have seen in person from someone of his stature. For comparison sake - Aaron Rodgers in a recent year refused to sign a kids stuff or take any pics with him who was there to see him wearing his jersey and told him "I am too hot right now, I need to stay locked in" in terms of the tournament - a celebrity tournament these guys play for fun mind you. We were walking at this point just behind where they stopped, as we walked by this person who was so blessed to have Josh stop, someone was talking to him about how cool that must be and he said "Yeah, we are like best buds now" and it was one of the sweetest things and my wife was tearing up just amazed at who he is. Mind you, he showed a ton of fun, class, humility, etc the whole time, this moment was just different. In a rush, rest of his group already ahead of him, he still demanded them to stop to take the time and make an unforgettable special moment for this person. And we felt blessed to have a front row seat to just witness it. They say never meet your heroes - they will just let you down. And while this is true in many cases - JOSH BREAKS THE MOLD. He is an MVP in life, he does the little things, important things, untold things...things when there are no cameras to capture it...things that are bigger than anything he has done or will do on a sports field. And on top of that - I can proudly and legitimately state "My wife got me fisted by Josh Allen" - Best. Wife. Ever.
  3. Have they? Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow re upped. They don't get it no one does. During and after the Watson grievence for colliding the NFLPA should have had a league wide meeting explaining the collusion and pushed the narrative with the top players to get fully guranteed contracts. The NFLPA failed the players and worked to keep it quiet. The NFLPA showed they are a shame and a kangaroo court for the owners to push the rules they want while avoiding antitrust regulation. Im only a fan as well. Just wild the story has become. Its the weakest union in pro sports. It’s also the most lucrative league. Chet Holmgren got 250 guaranteed. Diffetent sport but fragile and often injured. Unless you severely break your leg in multiple places there are not career ending injuries.
  4. I never said that Mahomes was the only reason. It’s obviously not. What I did say is that Mahomes hits that throw, and you know that to be true which is why you chose to argue against something I didn’t say instead of what I did. Buffalo’s coaching dialed up a play that got two WRs open and a huge pocket from which to throw. The rest was up to Josh. Look at the picture. It was right there. The question I was asked wasn’t whether or not Josh is a great QB. He is, and I’ve said before that if he retired today I think he deserves to be in the HOF. The question is whether I thought Mahomes would have won that game, and you’d be crazy to think otherwise. He’s won 17 straight one-score games and made it to at least the AFCCG every season he’s been the starter. You don’t do that by accident. Even Bills fans have repeatedly said that, even if Josh hits that throw, the Chiefs would have driven down to score. They’re probably right. Meanwhile Josh has had the ball in his hands with the season on the line two years in a row and has come away with 0 points. So to answer the question of who I think wins the game, give me the guy who has been to 5 Super Bowls over the guy who has never been. Give me the guy who scored with 13 seconds left and then ripped down the field for a TD in OT. Give me the guy who is 4-0 head to head when it matters over the guy who is 0-4. You’re welcome to disagree, but he asked me a question and I answered it.
  5. Josh has a smoking mom too 🤤
  6. My family and I walked the course with Josh and Sam on Wednesday! It was their practice round, such an amazing experience, Josh’s mom was there too, she really took time to talk with us and answer questions, they all couldn’t have been nicer. After the round Josh stayed and signed a ton of stuff for all the kids, he took selfies and gave hugs to my kids! Even Sam was funny and nice, totally changed my view of him, gonna be pulling for him in Seattle 😃
  7. Wait, they didn't invite the other Josh and Lamar? Where is Mr Rosen these days?
  8. Im gonna go with the drought team. Josh is over rated. We have a terrible coach. No way do they beat the droughters. Mario takes out Josh on the 3rd play. Cook leaves the game in the 2nd due to contract issues. Milano is hurt as they run out on the field. Hamlin is out of position. Rapp takes out Bernard. Keon tries to play in a yellow puffy and gets fined. McGovern is too full from the previous night's pizza party. The board implodes in the 1st Q as usual.
  9. Josh was top-20 last year and like football, was late in taking up golf and has been rapidly ascending. There's a lot of excellent celebrity golfers at this event but a top-15 or top-10 finish would be something.
  10. Yes. We lived through 20 lousy years with nothing to show for it already. Folks older than me lived through 10-20 lousy years before that as well, again with nothing to show for it. We had great years... with nothing to show for it. At this point, the monkey on our back is a SB win. That is the relief valve for build up of 30-40 lousy seasons. The Jets SB was 60 years ago. Not 5. Worked for the Rams. Buccaneer fans arent hurting. And we'll never be really lousy as long as we have Josh. And even as a McD critic, we'd never go under .500 with him around either. But if that was the monkey paw trade offer, I'll take 5 lousy years if it meant 1 Lombardi. I'd be shocked if most Bills fans dont feel the same way.
  11. the drought era with allen at qb would destroy this current squad take your pick at rb: mccoy /jackson/lynch wr: moulds/lee evans/price/steve johnson mario williams and aaron schobel at the ends cb: clements, winfield sr etc etc
  12. What if we put Allen as the QB of the draught team and (pick your QB) heading the current squad?
  13. Through the whole drought era if you picked the best players, I’m going drought. Better skills players and better defenders. Yes Allen is miles better, but I think the best players over 17 years all together would win.
  14. I met them (Josh and Sam) on Wednesday at the ACC (and Josh’s mom too) and will make a post about it a little bit later. Amazing experience
  15. Is it the starters or including backups? really, you could start Fitz or Tyrod and see if you are gonna get the good or bad version of them, and if it’s not working, swap them out for the other guy. Feel like that extra wrinkle would keep it respectable. 40-24 for the fightin Josh Allen’s. edit: I see you saw if they played with McD they are ineligible, but imo Tyrod is a drought QB and always will be.
  16. All Draught team meaning the best players from the 17 years of misery. If the player ever played with McDermott, doesn't count. So like Kyle Williams and Jerry Hughes wouldn't be eligible. Players like Mario Williams, Fred Jackson, Antoine Winfield etc....would. Plus you pick the coach. Jauron, Rex, Williams, Chan, Mularkey...am I missing someone? Who would you take? I still take our team now because we have Josh Allen and they would have....Fitz? I don't see enough offensive firepower on the Draught team side. That's nuts...
  17. I can see Josh and Baker quietly teaming up to 'pants' Darnold.
  18. Some creative thinking to put them together. Should be a fun group to watch.
  19. Not sure how you exactly got those numbers but I did total passing attempts, total rushing attempts for regular season and playoffs. Didn’t do receiving because the QB would have touched it on those attempts anyways. I did it without including sacks and also with including sacks. In both cases Allen is far above Rodgers. without Sacks Allen score points every 14.87 touches Rodgers without sacks included is 16.72 with Sacks included Allen is at 15.60 with sacks Rodgers is at 17.69 The reason I did it with sacks and without was because I wasn’t sure if they count sacks as a passing attempt or rushing attempt already, so I did both just to make sure. Allen has better numbers even if you add his sacks to it and leave Rodgers sacks out. Allen still scores more often per touch. Mine are for regular season and playoffs but Allen would still be higher just on regular season alone also. So again I am not even sure how you came up with your numbers???
  20. Yeah, not sure why I was assuming the original post was regular season only (which is what my list was). But even adding the playoffs (for just Josh and Aaron), I still get Rodgers just barely ahead in TDs/Touch for some reason (they both have performed well in the playoffs over the years). But as I said before, it doesn't really matter either way, it's so close, and because Josh will be clearly in front at some point this season, if he isn't already. And I'm not trying to take anything away from Josh. Obviously, in just 7 seasons, one of the best ever already. Rodgers 16.7274 Allen 16.8203
  21. I agree with everything you said except for most people here benching more than Josh lol Sure it's not part of his routine 100% I would bet all the money in my bank account he would out bench press 90% of this board at 225 for reps Don't kid yourself lol This goes back to the dad bod thing thinking regular Joe's think they look the same as professional athletes lol you don't.. and you're also not as strong as a superstar professional quarterback who is an ox I don't care if Josh Allen bench presses regularly I would put my entire stock market portfolio that he's putting up more reps than 90% of the people on this site In fact Josh Allen had 28 reps at 225 I'm sure 98% of this board is not getting 28 reps lol
  22. First, he’s fat in some of those photos. Yes. Second, upper body workouts are not good for QBs. Chest. Arms. They rarely build because it doesn’t help, they need to be “rubber bandy” and muscle bulk takes that away. Many of us probably bench more than Josh (he doesn’t, at all, ever). Don’t get me wrong, he probably hex bar squats twice what any of us do…but point is these guys aren’t building an upper body that’s meant to look good they’re building a strong lower body and an upper body that twists and has rubbery arm. Third, when you play QB your attractive so they don’t need worry about women like us message board guys. We should all probably go hit the gym about now and stop talking about Mahomes
  23. What throw did he exactly miss here? He went for a wide open Shakir and got bumped by Dawkins as Chris jones pushed him into Josh. If Dawkins holds up for a quarter more of a second, it's a easy 25 yard TD
  24. It's indeed totally fine, but he's absolutely running full speed. You don't have a deep post called, notice that nobody's deep on the side you're running towards and nobody's going deep with you and think, "I'd better run slowly on this, let 'em have time to close on me, make the throw harder for Josh." He didn't misread the throw. He had a hard time going from a full sprint to adjusting to a throw in the most awkward possible direction for him. He had to get his feet not just ahead of him but also further towards the end zone so he could leap back towards the center of the field and the line of scrimmage at the same time. This forced him to run his legs ahead of his body, making a strange little curving path, but it was the fastest way he could adjust. There wasn't a way to do that quickly.
