Its always been important to "protect the blindside", because thats were the best pass rushers are. Its really that simple.

He was the best corner in camp, hands down. Good to see the coaching staff willing to play the best guy, lets hope they did the same thing with the QB position.

If this team cant beat the chithawks in a HOMEopener, with all the injury and suspension problems they bring....then they dont belong in the post season. Not gonna say the season would be over, but they MUST win at home to be contenders.

Reading that made me think about the real possibility, that this could be a special year. If Whitner becomes as good on the field as he appears to be off, then IT'S ON !!!!!

Playing with a rookie QB and RB, on a line in its first year together... I thought he was very good. I mean Lynch had over 1100 yrds in just 13 games, and the line gave up the least amount of sacks in club history. With Peters, year 2 for them will be even better. The line as a whole will be considered one of the better units in the NFL. If there is a weak link, its Fowler...no question. With a quality center, this line could be awsome.

me thinks this will be a blow out.... the ralph is gonna be rocking, and last seasons final second loss in the opener will will be a lesson learned.

Can you imagine for a moment, if Youboty comes into his own this year...becoming the player they hoped for with a 3rd round pick. Our secondary may become the deepest in the NFL, and with Stroud and Poz allowing us to hopefully stop the run, making teams have to throw the ball....wait, stop now, forget it. i'm just getting all giddy with the possbilities. i think this is the point being missied by most...2 sides to a hold out. People whom want to believe Peters is in the wrong, can back it up with solids points, as can those who support the actions taken by Peters to get a pay raise. Its just business, looks like the bills are gonna hold firm, which is thier right to do so. Peters will show up this week and play out the season at a pro bowl level, and get paid next year. I wish Peters had decided to come to camp, but i also wish the bills had given him a new deal already. Not because i care about a millionare athlete who could use 20 more million, or an owner who could save himself some $ this year. I just want one of the best LT's in the league, protecting my 2nd yr QB's blind side now. because im a fan.

Its a business, both sides try to gain as much as they can, i want him here because im a bills fan and he makes our team better. I dont know why you seem to be taking his holdout so personal, my first choice would be the front office give him a giant deal and keep him here for a long time. But if not, then im hoping and i believe Peters will come in this week and play for an even bigger payday next year. Its just business, there no loyalty from the players or the owners, just the way it is.

i believe and i hope that he shows this week. He will make the case as a top 3 LT this year with his play and in the offseason the bills will make him the highest paid LT in the league. I think with the holdout this year, it sets him up for the big payday nextyear. I believe that was the plan all along on Parkers behalf. If Peters had reported this offseason without a peep and played, he may have had to have this holdout next year(2 yrs remaining). Thus, in Parkers mind...they maybe gain a year or at the very least, gain an easier negotiation next offseason. I dont blame Peters for trying to make the most $ he can as soon as he can, or the bills for wanting to save as much $ for as long as they can. I just want Peters here now, and i believe he needs to be here for our QB to reach his potential and our offense to reach its potential.

Sal Maiorana from the D&C thinks they could go on the practise squad. Are the bills really that talented that we can afford to not play a 3rd round pick? I think he's crazy, both those guys will play this year imo. Is there something I'm missing here?

i think if things go thier way, they could win 4-7 games this year...and that would be an amazing one year turn around

i wanted JP to be that guy soo bad, it was painful. I still think he could be, with the new system and better players that we have now. But that ship has sailed and i hope he goes to the NFC next year and has a great career, maybe even having a showdown with trent in the superbowl(that would be awsome). Just like i was behind JP, i'm now on the Trent bandwagon and i prey that he makes the leap from yr1 to yr2. Without a franchise QB, you cant win in this league.

ok let me slow this down for ya...i take his opinion,not because hes an expert, but because he is a HOF coach who coached 2 HOF qb's, durrr.... like i said and i'll say again, he may be wrong, because hes no expert. If you think that being a QB, and having bill walsh talk highly of your skills is the same as having mel kiper toot your horn, then i dont know what to tell ya
