Gabe Davis- Do you want him back and for how much $
Big Turk replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. Draft a WR in round one and another in round 3 or 4. It's a very deep WR draft. Should be able to get a very good player to start immediately and another to add quality depth. -
Absolutely embarrassing performance for a team at home fighting for it's playoff lives... Broncos have 106 total yards thru 3 quarters and are averaging 2.6 yards per play. Abysmal. The Russ of last year has made an appearance at the exact wrong time.

Hahaha...bye bye Broncos!

So the Bills should be punished for kicking teams asses instead of letting them stick around more. Got it. Chiefs have always played more close games when they should have blown teams out. -

Last one I really remember like that was the Browns game last year where the Bills had a big lead and the Browns made it a little closer late and lost by 8. -

How many of those were "true" one score games versus "name only" one score games where a team scores a garbage time TD to make it look good but never really had a chance to win? Mahomes lost his last 2 one score games he played against Allen. And he had the ball last both times and didn't get it done. How many times has Allen drove down to give the Bills the lead with under 2 minutes in a game only to see the D lose it? 3 times this year, Arizona game in the Hail Murray, 13 second game(TWICE!!), probably at least one or two others. That's on him they lost those? https://jaydpauley.medium.com/is-winning-close-games-in-the-nfl-luck-6118d3d8a701 -
NE's D has been pretty good over the last several weeks. Can we? Allen owns the Dolphins statistically more than any QB has ever owned a team. More than Brady owned the Bills, more than Rodgers owned the Bears. Not only could we win, I would expect it.

Can agree with this as I kicked for several seasons in full contact flag/touch leagues.

Pretty much ALL teams over a few seasons normalize to a .500 record in one score games. Almost without fail teams that are great in 1-score games like the Vikings were last year are not good and revert to the mean the following year. Why? Because luck is the biggest factor in 1 score games which has been shown in studies on this. -

Well...not really. Pretty much every advanced metric has the Bills as a top 5 team. DVOA they were 3rd, SOS 5th, a few others 4th or 5th as well. A team that hasn't lost a regular season game by more than 6 points in over 2 full years now seems pretty good to me. That is an absurdly long time to maintain that level of play. -
A little odd to see a player who only played a few games here between injuries still a diehard fan of the team...especially when most of his success came with the Chargers...

Yes...and typically happens when a team that is actually far better than their record has a few things go against them during the year but manages to get in. -

Bills are the 4th most unlucky team in the league this year. Not surprisingly, Philly is the luckiest by a wide margin. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/ranking/luck-by-other -

You mean other than when teams drop giftwrapped game ending INTs that allow a team to advance when they should have lost like when the Rams beat the 49ers and went on to win the super bowl? -
Fortunately Josh also leads the NFL in total TDs over that time by a very wide margin also.
-
Probably because he keeps getting injured.

Against Miami? Pretty good. -
How did you end up getting locked into a date during a Bills game? My wife wouldn't have even bothered because she would have known the only place we would have been going was to a bar to watch the game. Recap: Bills looked not great to open the game, went down 10-0 then forced a punt from deep inside Charger territory and got the ball around their own 43...then Allen hit Davis on a scramble drill play for a 57 yard TD deep down field. Then they forced another Charger punt and Allen ran it in himself...14-10 at the half. LA kicked a FG after a Bills TO to make it 14-13, Bills score a TD to make it 21-13 on another Allen keep. Then the fun really started with the turnovers and penalties killing drives. Cook with his 2nd fumble of the game and Allen with an INT on an under throw to Diggs who may have scored on a good throw LA then kicked 3 more FGs to take a 22-21 lead with about 5 mins left, then Allen drove them down to a 29 yard FG with 28 seconds left to take a 24-22 lead. Initially ruled Shakir scored hit replay overturned it that he was down by contact at the 13 yard line. Stick gets sacked by Oliver on the first play, Chargers with no TOs left, another incompletion and then a throw it around drill that never came close to materializing and eventually ended before the final tackle when a Charger player illegally lateralled it forward.

OP apparently is a person that refuses to admit luck plays a much larger part in wins, losses and teams making the playoffs than one would like to admit. -
Enough with the cap nonsense. Wait til you see how much the cap jumps from the new TV deals and continues to jump every year thereafter for the next 3-4 years. By 2027 we will be over a 300 million dollar cap. Pretty easy to work around things with all the new money being added year after year and ability to restructure contracts, especially when your QB has one of the most team friendly deals in the NFL for what he is actually worth. The only people who constantly bring this up are the people who have no idea what they are talking about and what the cap landscape is getting ready to be like a few years down the road or how easy it is to restructure players and get under the cap.

Chance of Playoffs now, according to NYT simulator
Big Turk replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
Browning came crashing back to earth against the Steelers and will likely continue. Easiest time to look good is the first few games before DCs get a bead on you. Meh QBs usually don't continue to look amazing for long. Until Tua has to play off schedule and then he looks bad. -
Nobody wants to win the AFC South...someone will be forced to back their way into winning it tho... Jacksonville getting blown out 30-0 to Tampa Bay? C'mon man...talk about pretenders.
