  1. I saw on Twitter that it is Malik Hooker. Although he and his agent say he is not involved
  2. I feel like the Bills are in a good spot right now with regard to drafting and developing a QB. Tyrod is the best QB we've had in a very long time. He is serviceable. If the Bills identify a QB in this draft that they like, they can take him and sit him for 1-2 years to develop him behind Tyrod. When he is ready, he becomes the starter and they move on from Tyrod. In past years they tried to force it. They played the kid before he was ready, either due to Injury to the other QB (Kolb) or not having a better option. I don't know enough about college QBs to know if any of these guys have a solid future, but if the Bills decide they like one, I think there's a decent chance he might get the time to develop.
  3. If there's a run on QB's, it could mean that teams think they might be good and we might miss out on the one we like. A run on QB's could be good for us (if they end up being bad) or bad for us if they end up being good. Nobody really knows how this will turn out.
  4. Astro - thanks for putting this together. I am curious to understand how you would know who they have scouted and how many times. They have many scouts all over the country that go to games, visit schools and watch countless hours of film. It is interesting to me that you can say exactly how many times someone was scouted. Take Corey Davis. It seems unfathomable to me that they would have never looked at him. Or maybe it just begs the question of what exactly you count as "scouted".
  5. This could be a blessing in disguise for him. Rather than get forced to go to a team that drafts him in Rd6-7, he and his agent can find the best fit for him that will give him time to recover and develop. I wish him luck. If the Bills don't take a QB early (I think they will), then I'd have no problem with Chad being signed as a UDFA and put on IR or practice squad for a year.
  6. Exactly, it won't happen. But Fournette was available at 10, our trade down payoff would be tremendous.
  7. I'm not high on Mike Williams. My fear is he's the next Laquan Treadwell. I don't think he has the speed or separation ability. His success was due to outleaping lesser competition. He won't get away with that at the next level. My preference for Rd1 is a trade down.
  8. Bring back Boobie. At least it is fun yelling his name out loud at the stadium
  9. You are 100% entitled to your opinion. I fully disagree with it. I believe the Pegula's have a plan for a downtown stadium to join their ever expanding complex of properties already there. It is my opinion that they will not allow the team to move, even if others associated with the NFL would pressure them to do so. Time will tell. But I personally feel no fear of the team moving like I did during the Ralph Wilson ownership.
  10. If this scenario happened and Cleveland wanted to swap 10 for 12, I would love to get them to swap 2nd rd picks with us. I'd love to have that 1st pick in Rd2.
  11. I sure hope they are ready to play tomorrow, oh wait. They don't play for 6 months and have plenty of time to continue to build the roster.
  12. Do you have a better option for a starter? Who is your preference?
  13. If we could trade Tyrod and get a pick or two, that would make the move even more perfect. I personally don't expect a team to give up a pick for Tyrod and his contract. I hope I am wrong. Even if we could trade TT for a 6th rounder and then use that pick to acquire Siemian, that would be great.
  14. I may get destroyed for this. But I think this is a great idea. Siemian knows the offense and had a solid first season as a starter. Is he a superstar? NO. But he is cheap and decent. He makes just over $1.3m combined for 2017 and 2018. That's almost $40m less than Tyrod for slightly less production and way more upside. I would love if we dumped Tyrod and acquired this kid while still continuing to search for a sure fire Franchise QB. I'd much rather go into 2017 with Siemian as our starter than Cardale, Foles, Cutler or any of the other garbage available and definitely would like him as a placeholder if we decide to draft a QB this year (which I would not do). Tyrod is marginally better but not $16m per year better.
  15. Yep. I was thinking how unsurprising it is that Fred is buttering up the #BillsMafia
  16. It's a smart move especially if they were able to revise the contract. Tyrod is decent. They should still be searching for a long term answer. If they can structure the contract in such a way that it allows them to move on from Tyrod after 2 season without a lot of dead money, I would love the move. Tyrod gives them the best chance to have competent QB play this year. Not great. Not terrible.
  17. You could say that a good offensive coordinator builds an offense around the strengths that their QB possesses. All QBs have strengths and weaknesses. The best coaches find ways to utilize the strengths and hide the deficiencies. Absolutely. Or we would be praying his current team did not pick up the option and every here would be posting "back up the Brinks truck, Terry"
  18. He's no worse than most of the other options out there (Glennon, Cutler, Hoyer, McCown, etc).
  19. Sure, then you'll B word and moan when another team takes him ahead of our second pick and he turns out good. You and the rest of this board will kill the Bills for failing to pull the trigger on the next great QB. Now, I have no clue if this kid is any good, but if the Bills think he can be a quality starter, I am perfectly fine with them taking him at 10 because that is the pick they hold. Why gamble with a trade down and have another team steal your guy?
  20. I could see Oakland being like Detroit with Stafford. Good QB, but can never make the leap to playoff performers.
  21. McDermott: "How in the hell do you two idiots still have jobs?"
