I am fairly certain that sign is just temporary. They had said that, since the agreement came so close to the start of the season, permanent signage would not be completed until next year. I'm sure this sign will not be there once they have time to get permanent signage in place. I don't mind the name. I love that it is a partnership with a successful local company. I am still expecting them to honor Ralph Wilson in some significant way.

Karlos Williams suspended 4 games for substance abuse
Maddog69 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Totally agree. He sounds like a 12 year old girl. Grow up, dude. -
This is interesting. You would also have the consider the position of the pick in the round. For example: Picks 1,2 and 3 of Round 1 are worth much more than picks 30, 31 and 32.

Rams release Nick Foles--update signs with KC

I think it would be funny if KC traded Foles to Dallas. -
Rams release Nick Foles--update signs with KC
Maddog69 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
a few thoughts, I know that many here at TBD hate EJ no matter what. He's terrible. Anyone else in the world is better. But I don't think that is true. Foles has 1 tremendous season and has been a tire fire ever since. He would be brand new in our system and would eat up cap space we don't have. In order so sign him, you'd probably have to give him more money that Tyrod is making, that to me would be a mistake. I'd stick with the QBs we have and use what little cap space we have to add depth to the team or try to figure out a way to give Tyrod an extension or a raise. -

The scariest part of the upcoming 2016 season
Maddog69 replied to Jobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Tyrod will have a good season (assuming he stays healthy). I think he's a good enough starter to lead the Bills to the playoffs. I expect the defense to be better this year than it was last year and I expect the Bills to be in the playoff hunt. However, for me, the scariest part of this season is the schedule. The Bills could be much improved over last year and still end up with the same record and miss the playoffs. Besides our division, we only have a few games against lesser opponents (Cleveland, St Louis, SF.) Assuming we split the division (3-3 or even 4-2) and win the 3 games mentioned above. That's 6-7 wins. We still need to find 4-5 wins out of these 7 games: @ Ravens Cardinals @ Seahawks @ Bengals Jaguars @ Raiders Steelers -
The most successful play, the one that works every single time they have run it is the Kneel down.

Allowing coaches to hire their kids is ridiculous and makes the Bills look foolish. Signed, Bill Belicheck Marty Schottenheimer Mike Shanahan

TOD 7/26: REX - love or hate him?
Maddog69 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I totally agree with this. The problem is that the schedule this year is difficult. The team could be markedly better on both sides of the ball, yet still finish 9-7 or 10-6 and still miss the playoffs. If that's the case, do they stick with Rex for 1 more year or dump him and start again? Lather, rinse, repeat. -
A quick look at the Bills future cap spend
Maddog69 replied to Blokestradamus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope you're right about Gilmore getting signed. I just don't see it happening. He wants top dollar and I don't see the bills giving that to him. If he were to sign for $13-14m per year, a deal would happen but I believe he wants $15+. My expectation is for the Bills to let this year play out. If Gilmore stays healthy and plays well, they will tag him for 1 year and then let him walk. -

Bills Working on extensions for Gilmore & Maybe Tyrod
Maddog69 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are most likely right, and I think the number will be $20m+ per year. But there is a slight chance that Taylor has a terrible year (maybe the same thing happens to him as it did for Kaepernick). In that case, we would all be happy not to be locked in long term at $20m. I am not expecting this but I do believe it is a possibility. The Bills are playing it smart. Let the season play out a bit and then pay him mid-year. (not to mention the fact that they have no cap space to pay him right now anyway). -
Police Shamelessly cite Terrorism in Patrolling Private Lots
Maddog69 replied to Fingon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1000% agree. If they want to stop people from acting like drunken idiots, so be it. I have said for years that a Bills game would be an easy target for a terrorist attack. I'm glad the police are looking at being more proactive. -
early reports last weeks said Salas was getting the majority of work in the slot. But that could be because Sammy is out and Woods is getting his reps at the 1

Bills: New Stadium or Renovation?
Maddog69 replied to ROONDOGG55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for the well thought out and intelligently stated reply. LOL Seriously though, construction of the new stadium will take several years, right? (3-5 years). Upgrading the roads and infrastructure in and around the area will take several years and will need to start before actual stadium construction. And then once they move to the new stadium, something will need to be done with the Ralph. Demolition, clean-up and rebuilding something else in its place will take time. No matter where it is built, a new stadium will lead to new jobs (good paying jobs) being created in WNY over an extended period of time. I now await your comprehensive, intellectual rebuttal. -
and as far as luxury suites go, Ingram and their vendors used to had 4 suites at the Ralph a while back. I think they still have at least 2

Do you agree w/Skurski that it's time for McCoy to talk?
Maddog69 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fu@k Jay Skurski. McCoy doesn't owe anybody an explanation. If no charges are filed, the whiny dorks at TBN should move on and find something else to complain about. -
Bills: New Stadium or Renovation?
Maddog69 replied to ROONDOGG55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am calling my shots right now: 1.) New stadium will be build downtown 2.) New stadium will be a closed facility similar to Lucas Oil Stadium. 3.) Stadium will open some time around 2022 4.) The Pegula's will pay for about half of the cost of the stadium. The NFL will kick in a portion. Delaware North will fund some of it in order to secure the vending rights. And the state and county (along with some federal funds for infrastructure upgrades) will cover the rest. 5.) This project will create hudnreds of construction jobs in WNY over the next 10 years and will be a tremendous boost to the area. -
The problem for Poloncarz is that he has no leverage. It is irrelevant how profitable the Bills are. Just as it is irrelevant how profitable any business is when asking a city, town or state is trying to lure that company to their area. If the State and County won't partner with the Bills to build a new stadium, there are other cities that will. Do we want to be the next Cleveland? Not to mention that Erie County is really the inconsequential third wheel in this situation. The State and the Bills (and Chuck Shumer) will come to an agreement and they will tell Mark to STFU and sign off on it.
