  1. That being said, it shows a bit of weakness in his leadership. How is he supposed to make the team feel good about the moves if he talks like his high school sweetheart just slept with his best friend?
  2. McDermott sounded like somebody just murdered his puppy
  3. Either the Bills were not comfortable signing Sammy long term due to injury concerns. Or they new Sammy was pricing himself out of Buffalo regardless of his health. Its a bit of the Tortoise and the Hare. Would you rather have an elite receiver who plays half the time or a good receiver who plays all of the time?
  4. Wow. I was nervous being the first to respond and recommend not bringing the kids. I didn't want to come off as a jerk. Much happier now that everyone seems to be in agreement. I idea of it and the excitements from a new dad's perspective is completely understandable. My daughter was 2 days old when the Bills played on MNF and I have pictures of me holding her up my the TV screen. Taking the kids to games is awesome when the situation is right and they are ready to handle it.
  5. Honestly, my advise would be to leave them home so you can have fun. At that age, they will not remember any of the experience. I love taking my kids to the games and passing on the love for the Bills, but I didn't start until they were old enough to enjoy it (4-5yrs old). If you're taking them to a preseason game, you probably won't have any issues with drunks or anything like that.
  6. He's going to have to earn it. Won't be handed to him. No doubt he will see lots of snaps and lots of targets this year regardless of where he is listed on paper.
  7. and our own Marcel Dareus, Cordy Glenn, Kyle Williams, Eric Wood, etc
  8. After listening to that media session, I came away thinking that Sammy did an excellent job with his answers. The Buffalo media was desperately trying to goad him into giving them some sort of sound bite that they could run with. They tried over and over to get him to say he was frustrated about his contract or not having the option. He handled it well as they kept beating the dead horse. Ask the question once and move on, please.
  9. I totally agree with you. I love taking my son and watching his love for the Bills grow every year as he gets older.
  10. Not saying he will ever be any good, but draft position isn't always a guaranteed predictor of future success. Many examples of later round players who have surprised everyone and had long, successful careers. Agreed. Hopefully they all play great.
  11. That is how I feel as well. He's gone. I don't care what he says. But if I did care, I would agree with him. He will be on prime time more. He is a good player who got paid big money by another team. I don't hate him for it and won't belittle him. I liked him when he was here and would be happy if he stayed. He didn't. He didn't bash Buffalo or the team. He make a factual statement.
  12. Agreed. He had opportunities to make plays/extend drives to win games or put games away and he did not get it done. To this point he is similar to Fitz in that he is entertaining at times, he makes some great plays but at the end of the day he is not able to win games when the team needs it. I see him as middle of the road QB. I don't believe he can lead this team to a championship. I'd be thrilled if he proved me wrong.
  13. Also, Rivers has like 47 children and would have no interest in moving them across the country to play for a wild card spot (at best).
  14. Would love for them to load up. Add Maclin on a 3-4 yr deal and barnidge on a 1yr.
  15. Sherman is a good player. But he has a wickedly overinflated ego. he comes off as a baby.
  16. Had to give mine up this year after 15 years. We got them the day the Bills traded for Drew Bledsoe. I have a daughter heading off to College and a son at St Joe's. Money just isn't there for Bills Tix right now. Hopefully I will get back onboard in a few years. Always loved going to the games with my son.
  17. I have two thoughts on the matter 1.) this is how the game is played. If we don't pony up to help finance a new stadium, someone else will. And just like in Cleveland, the cost to get them back (or get another team) will only be exponentially higher. 2.) If the money isn't spent on our stadium, NYS will find another way to waste our tax money. It might as well go to something I want.
  18. Even with a June 1 designation his dead money after 2017 would be $11.1 against 2018 cap and another $11.1 against 2019. They will not release him after 2017. It will not happen.
  19. Dareus is not going anywhere for atleast 2 seasons. Too much dead money to let him go after 2017. They can get out after 2018
  20. I don't think it was a matter of "afford"ing $4m for MG. It was a matter of not valuing any backup RB being worth $4m when RBs are a dime a dozen.
  21. then the Pegulas fire McD and the new GM for going 0-16. But they wait until opening day of the 2018 season to fire them because they disagreed on the final 53 man roster and the Pegulas will not stand for disagreements.
  22. I'd like Barnidge or just bring back Chris Gragg at TE It like Verner at CB I'd like Byrd at S, but I doubt they sign a S since they signed 2 already and added two hybrid LB/S types in the draft. We desperately need LB. Wish we had signed Zach Brown. Perry Riley or Hodges would be welcome additions at this point. and take a swing at Blount
  23. Depends on when Tom Brady is no longer playing in our division
  24. I like TG. He and Wawrow are the only two local Newspaper guys worth anything.
