  1. The best part about this offseason, on top of all of the exciting player moves, is that I no longer have to worry about the Bills leaving Buffalo. That hung over me like a dark cloud for as long as I can remember. With that gone, everything else is gravy. The future of the team looks very promising and whatever the future brings, it will bring it right here in Western New York so my son and I can witness it together.
  2. I think Chip will be back in College coaching within a few years.
  3. Gotcha. I just realized that too.
  4. isn't he facing a suspension?
  5. I want him to bully the hell out of opposing players. Make them cry and quit.
  6. Fred Jackson is not deserving of Wall of Wall honors. He's a good player and a good guy. Nothing special about him. His presence would diminish the honor for all others selected, in my opinion. I'd rather see Frank Reich or Brian Moorman on the wall.
  7. Im as optimistic as the next guy, but lets not get carried away. A good OC can only do so much. Even if he designs the offense perfectly and gets the players open, the QB still has to call the right play, make the right reads/adjustments and ultimately deliver the ball accurately and on time. No guarantee that any of the QBs on our roster can do that with regularity.
  8. At this point, I'd stick with "Incomplete". 1.) none of the moves made are his alone 2.) no real on field results yet. I would grade him in 2-3 years based on on-field success, the ability to work with the coaching staff and to build a perennial winner. Its just too early to say. I like what I've seen from him so far.
  9. The Bills are built to win now. Warner is built to win 10 years ago.
  10. While I understand that being uncoachable is a bad thing. I would agree with him in that I would not want a coach to change what makes me successful. I good coach will use a player's strengths and build an offense around them rather than take a gifted athlete and force him to fit a system. I think back to Jim Kelly and how the Bills offense really took off when Marchibroda built the K-gun offense around what Kelly and the rest of the offense did well. RG3 needs to mature, without question. But he has tremendous physical skills and a good coach should be able to work with that and should also be able to stroke his ego enough to get him to put in the work required to be great. A good coach is also a master motivator and a sports physcologist. Jay Gruden is non of those things.
  11. Sal Capaccio ‏@SalSports 12m12 minutes ago A source has informed me the Bills are still working hard towards retaining Jerry Hughes & "still optimistic" they can before FA opens 3/10.
  12. They didn't use the franchise tag because that would've guaranteed a salary of around $14m for 1 yr. That is a lot more than Hughes is worth and more than he will get on the open market.
  13. This. And, I don't believe they need to evaluate Cassel. In my opinion, he is here to be a solid #2 QB. EJ and whomever they sign will fight it out for the #1 spot. They only way Cassel starts is injury or if both other QBs really suck.
  14. I am predicting Freddy will be a cap casualty
  15. We have no idea who the starting QB is or what other players will be add to the offense. We have no real clue what the offense will look like. At this point it is way too early to be predicting points per game.
  16. They can dump Fred Jackson and save close to $3m. Draft young RB in a deep draft. They already have boobie and Bryce to back up McCoy. They will definitely sign a FA FB
  17. Every time anything happens, Bills fans expect the worse. a whole bunch of Chicken Little's around here. Relax. McCoy will play for the BIlls.
  18. If Pegula is (as I expect he is) willing to spend actual $$$, the cap will not be an issue.
  19. I think the "Why Me" reaction had nothing to do with Buffalo specifically. Just a frustration that he was deemed unwanted by Philly after everything he did. He felt he was a big part of their team and they dumped him.
  20. My guess is that Kiko was offered around the league in an effort to find a QB and none were available. he didn't speak directly to her. She tweeted last night from "sources close to him". She's also the one who made up the goofy report about Michael Sam's teammates having issues with him. She's a joke. I'll believe there is a problem when McCoy or his agent says there is.
  21. This was seriously the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I worry for that guys family.
  22. I agree with this. I like Joe. I take him for what he is. A young guy who was asked to become a "Draft Expert". He seems to work hard and his opinions are logical and he does seem to come up with some original ideas. He's a bit of a dork, so not sure TV is the best place for him. But good luck to him. I think it is a big loss to GR especially heading into the draft.
  23. My guess is that the Bills called Philly about Foles. They offered Kiko for Foles and Philly came back with "we are going to hang on to Foles but we like Kiko, would you take Shady?" And the deal got done quickly.
  24. Speaking of Tannehill, I will be interested to see what his numbers look like in 2015 without Clay, Hartline and Wallace
