  1. I have no problem with him as an "very good option". I have a problem signing him to a contract worth $100 million.
  2. I'd be looking to sign him to a shorter deal. Maybe 3yrs max value 45m if he his all incentives. A $100m contract for Tannehill at this point would scare the crap out of me if I were the Dolphins FO.
  3. Exactly, those saying he's a "cancer" have not followed the whole story. He was a captain on the team, unless teammates were afraid not to vote for him. Lol.
  4. I would assume that each of these players will be looked at and treated differently depending on their specific circumstances. Signing RI shows that they definitely don't have a "zero tolerance" policy for bringing in players with problems in their past. But beyond that, it is to early to tell if this is any indication that they will be signing any and all players with past issues.
  5. I know, it's unfathomable that EJ is so inconsistent after completing 16 starts over 2 seasons (one shortened by injury).
  6. That really depends on who they bring in. If its Bradford, Foles or RG3, they're starting. If its Locker or Sanchez, they are competing with EJ but have the early edge in the competition. If its one of the other dozen names, it'll be an open competition, but I would think EJ would have the early edge.
  7. Just for the sake of honesty, he was not "cleared of all charges" He was actually convicted once. Then when they appealed the initial conviction, the alleded Victim decided not to participate in another trial (AKA she was paid off). So the state didn't have enough evidence to proceed with another trial and dropped the charges. Not really the same thing as being "cleared".
  8. The Dolphins cut him because of media pressure and backlash. He was liked by the coaches and was a team captain. He was asked to toughen up Martin by the coaches. He was used as a scapegoat to make the "bullying" crap go away. He is a class A jerk, without a doubt. He is also a good football player who other teams were considering signing. Like I've said before, its a low risk move. Maybe he is good and stays out of trouble, if not, he's gone and nothing lost.
  9. The way I see it, the past is in the past. It's a low risk, high reward move. Pegula did not get to be a Billionaire by being afraid to take risks. If Incognito returns to pro bowl form and stays out of trouble, its a huge win. If he becomes an issue in the locker room, in the community or on the field, they cut him. Nothing lost. They can even take credit for trying to give him a second chance. I read somewhere that Eric Wood is friends with him. Even if they are acquaintances, I would imagine the Pegulas/Rex/Whaley spoke with Wood to get his feedback before making this move. If Wood is OK with the signing, I am too.
  10. I agree, I would prefer to have players with high character and integrity. But the NFL is about winning. And the NFL is full of people with questionable character. Hell, look back to the Bills hay days of the 90's. Kelly, Biscuit, Bruce, Talley, Jeff Wright. Those guys were up to some questionable stuff.
  11. The home of beautiful. The realtor, not so much. I wonder if Bledsoe's place in East Aurora is still for sale. Seemed similar in size and design and was under a Million.
  12. Unless the NFL is going to ban all teams from signing guys like this, why shouldn't the Bills snag a few dirtbags on the cheap? New England does it and gets praised for it.
  13. Given the lackluster options available, I think McCoy will get serious consideration.
  14. Incognito is clearly an A-hole. But, my guess is that NFL locker rooms are full of guys like him. I've met Darryl Talley back in the 90's and I could totally see him doing crap like this. Incognito is a good football player. If he causes problems in the locker room, Rex will kick him to the curb. If he doesn't cause problems, our O-Line just got a whole lot better.
  15. I just cant see Washington trading him for that little. They would want to recoup some of the picks they lost in acquiring him and they would want to save face.
  16. I would be fine with acquiring RGIII as long as the price was fair. Would not want to give up multiple #1 picks. Would like deal to be conditional. Griffin has the highest upside of any of the potential options (assuming he is an option).
  17. That being said, I was surprised when they said during the superbowl that Tom Brady was 1 out of 22 on passes over 20yds in the air in all of his previous superbowls. Does that make him a game manager?
  18. Hasn't shown much so far, even when he was healthy (which is not often). I rank him roughly equal to EJ, if not slightly behind EJ at this point. He's a viable option to be brought in to compete.
  19. I doubt that they sign 2 UFAs. This would require $6-8m to be committed with other areas that need to be addressed. My expectation is that the Bills will either sign or trade for one current NFL QB and draft one.
  20. The funny thing is, no matter what direction they go in addressing the QB depth chart, there will be a faction of TBDers that support it to the death and another faction that curse the move and proclaim that the Bills are doomed and whomever they brought in is worse than Kyle Orton and the Bills should have traded for the 3rd string QB on the Saskatchewan Rough Riders.
  21. I've heard of him. Git 'er done.
  22. Just glad I still have a home team to go see. I'll gladly pay a few more bucks a game.
  23. 32 NFL teams missed Tom Brady 5 times. It happens. Kurt Warner was bagging groceries.
  24. He's either full of crap or just plain stupid. Probably a mix of both.
  25. They signed Charlie Whitehurst that same offseason too, I believe.
