  1. This is a smokescreen. Theyre not talking to WInston and Mariota to nobody will know they like both. Then they're going to pull off trades to acquire both of them. CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. My thinking exactly. I am hoping Maxx is there for us in the 2nd round.
  3. The reasoning behind it is that maybe teams will smarten up and stop signing stupid contracts.
  4. Sadly, Sanchez is one of the better options available in a very weak UFA QB class. My personal preference, in order, would be: Mallett Locker Sanchez Hoyer McCoy McCown
  5. whats funny is all the people clamoring for a coach to go for it on every 4th down are the same ones who complain about it when we get stuffed
  6. His point was basically what a lot of people have said here. (I'm paraphrasing) "If he team has a premier or better than average QB and they get rid of him, now they are in the same boat as the other 20 teams looking for one"
  7. That's how Seattle won the Superbowl last year. Now that they will have to pay Wilson, they'll have to make adjustments to the plan. But it can be done.
  8. I think Easley will stay. I think Searcy will get overpaid. That's fine. Easily replaceable. There are always veteran safeties available fairly cheap that are as good as he is. It would be nice to keep him but would not want to waste a lot of money to do it. Other, more important positions to address. Same with Spiller, would like to keep him but he can be replaced for a lot less than he is probably asking/will get.
  9. I want a matchup nightmare. A guy who can get downfield. Who can get open and who makes catches. If we need a blocker, put in a tackle eligible.
  10. In theory, I agree. Except that you then have a TON of money tied up in QB with other areas left to address. Lets say we sign McCown for 2yrs at $4m per. I believe it will take atleast that much to land him. Then you get Bradford. His cap hit is $16m. Even if you extend/restructure his deal and bring the number down to $10m (which would be difficult and risky), that leaves $14m, plus a little over $2.4m for EJ. You can't cut EJ, it would cost more to cut him than keep him. There's the rub. It's interesting to talk about, but I don't believe Bradford will end up being moved.
  11. Without a #1 pick this year, I think it is important for the Bills to get a player with that 2nd rd pick that they can count on to come in and contribute. I think DGB is too much of a risk. I would rather take a TE, RB or OG to help address a glaring need. I could see taking a shot on DGB in Rd3 though. I just think he's to boom or bust to risk a #2 pick given that we don't have a 1. On the other hand, Pegula seems to be a bit of a risk taker, so I guess it wouldn't shock me.
  12. based on those stats and not having seem any of them play that much except for EJ, I would say Glennon sounds like the best on to me. Ranked very well in all categories compared to the other QBs and blew everyone away where it counts most, scoring. Almost a 2:1 TD/INT ratio. Based solely on these stats, I'd be interested in acquiring Glennon if possible.
  13. that's an interesting find. Thanks for posting it.
  14. I want a difference maker. Not more of the same. I'm hoping the bills go hard after a top TE in Free agency or the draft. Not really interested in more backups.
  15. He had exactly 21 in 2012 He has a QB rating over 80 in 2013 and 2014 Are there any QBs who meet your criteria and are available? I'm not in love with Bradford but he is the best QB that is possibly available right now. If he can stay healthy (big IF), he is better than any QB we've had in a long time.
  16. Higher than Manning or Romo with fractured vertebrae? Don't get carried away. Its a concern for sure. That's why any trade/contract would most certainly have contingencies for injury.
  17. Same can be said for every player
  18. Its possible but then you get into a bidding war for him. If you can acquire him at a reasonable price via trade and then re-structure his contract to make it palatable, I would certainly consider it.
  19. Any trade for Bradford would have to be conditional. Contingent on: 1.) restructuring/re-signing with new team 2.) staying healthy 3.) success on the field. I would offer a 3 this year and a conditional 3 next year. If he stays healthy and leads us to the playoffs it becomes a 2. If he takes us to the Superbowl or is selected to the Pro-bowl (not as an alternate after 7 QBs back out) then it becomes a 1. As far as restructuring, I would be looking to sign him for 2-3 more years with a reduced salary and incentives that would allow him to make $16-18m if he stays healthy and plays well.
  20. You might be right. You might not. I've seen good things from EJ and I believe he can be good just as much as I believe Derek Carr can. Would I bet that he is the starter by the end of the year? Depends on a lot of factors. Too early for me to make that bet. Check back with me in training camp when I know what other QBs are here to compete with him for the job. As of right now, I think odds are very high that he will be the starter on Wk1. But that certainly could change if another legit starter is acquired or if EJ is injured.
  21. The argumnent could be made that you and the EJ haters have it the other way. You only remember the mistakes. You overstate the negatives and you don't recall any of the positives. Take away the one pass that Watt made an excellent play on and we win that game and EJ probably never gets benched in the first place. I'm interested to see what he does with a fresh start and a competent coaching staff. He's not a rookie anymore. No excuses. He needs to go out and win the job and play well. That being said, he will have some absolutely horrendous games, all QBs do.
  22. I don't believe the league had anything to do with this. Just a random website that came up with new "Concept" helmets for each team based off of Tampa's new helmet with the huge logo.
  23. Pretty cool concept. I like some of them. Like the Chiefs, Chargers, Lions, Redskins, Vikings and especially the Steelers. Overall they are too XFL-ish. I am more of a traditionalist.
