Radio host tells Newton victims to "Go to hell"
Niagara Bill replied to Fezmid's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I don'tI do not understand. Why does the country spend money on the MIT police, Boston Police, Watertown Police, State police, FBI and National Guard. Save the money and let the citizens with their AK 47 do the job. They would have found him and maybe a few others at the same time. For all those who want the 2nd admen. to be so strong this is the only solution. Either put controls on the guns or have the authorities step back and go for it. All those people cheering for the police must have been wrong. -

yes really the second amend issue is a non starter. I did not see the police, national guard with the Humvees, the armored vehicles, 2000 officers from agencies from college police force to the FBI openly saying on TV for residents to get out their guns to help stop the crazed 19 yr old. People should have been able to defend their property against a foreign terrorist if the 2nd admen, issue held water. After all chanting USA later was as close as they got to using the 2nd admend. The senate turned down the latest attempt to improve the situation not because they thought it was not going to help enough but because they are owned by the gun lobby....plain and simple. ps I agree the proposal was gutless and ineffective...that in itself should be an embarrassment for the administration. -

Frankly I started a new thread and the site operators transferred it to this thread. I think I understand the politics and issue more than you think. My point was simple. The Gun lobby is so powerful for the gun producers ( not the NRA) they buy the votes from representatives who would fix the background checks and the AK47 type issues. I think they are smart enough just married to the money. Why not let people buy bazookas??? That would be crazy just like AK 47s. Married to the money is the real political issue. Strange how they control fertilizer for bombs since OKC but not weapons for mass murder. Money Money. Money. This is not about the 2nd admend. And everyone knows it. Everyone tonight is so happy that thousands of police officers caught 1 man. They are cheered, yet when they tell the Fed representatives in Congress to control the AK problem they are ignored. Explain that please -

I am not being flippant nor do I want to seem insensitive, but I cannot help think that 2 terrorists, killing 4 people ( at this point) will create more investigation and new laws in congress than the killing of 26 - 5 and 6 year olds (and teachers)...just one of a string of terrible tragedies.... Easy to blame a foreigner, not so easy to blame ourselves. I may be a Canadian but we have the same political issues with the border and guns registry. Cannot wait to here Boehner, etc hitting the stump on this one. They will listen to all the recommendations from police and federal agencies and react...they ignore them when the Gun lobby speaks....Just a thought at this terrible time, sorry if I insulted anyone over the timing of this opinion. My prayers are with those in Boston and the families who have lost loved ones. -

Rapaport: don't expect Byrd to show up to workouts
Niagara Bill replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We didn't sign Levitre so why sign this clown..so many people on this board said you should not over pay so lets see what everyone says about this situation. We have people on this board suggesting we draft an O lineman in round 1 (after having a good one here that we lost) , now maybe it should be a safety also...or in round 2. We need to ask the question, why do our homegrown draft picks that work out want to leave. Why do we pay guys like Mario too much, but we cannot pay our own guys or piss them off so much they want to leave. By not signing these guys it just keeps us from moving ahead. -

Still dismayed by personnel decisions
Niagara Bill replied to Dr. K's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this is one of the craziest posts ever read. What the he?? do you mean by saying a team like the Bills. The hole point is the front office is so bad that we pay all the wrong players and get ourselves in cash and cap problems with no success. A TEAM LIKE THE BILLS should be able to pay their home developed players because the rest of the bunch is not good enough and should not be paid. Instead we overpay for others peoples junk (Mario) and lose our best home players. -
Buffalo one of the 5 weakest rosters
Niagara Bill replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you made my point for me we overpay for non performer and other peoples castoffs yet when we finally draft a keeper we cannot afford him...look what we poaid Mario...how many players could do what he does for 1/2 the cost. For us to have a cap problem we have over paid a lot of non performers..Levitre showed up and played each game...more than the reat of them and we lose him. to me that is sad and bad management -

I would agree with the ranking which is why the following is true. 1) We have a small salary cap problem as we have heard on this sight...tells me our Front Office is bad. since we are drafting poorly and paying too much for many players. (see mario as #1). Can anyone tell me who we are overpaying...to be in that trouble..it must be everyone...and the only reason I can think of is we are bad managers and no one wants to play for the Bills without being overpaid, which leads back to the bad FO. 2) The biggest strength we had was the Oline and we allowed that to be hurt and become week with the loss of Levitre and Rinehart. We draft Levitre, he plays well and almost every game for 4 years...and we allow ourselves to create another hole because we over pay for Mario, Fitz, (I know he is gone now). Anyone disagree -
The reason for lack of FA action....
Niagara Bill replied to Dibs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey you were the guy publicly critizing some elses manner of posting and spacing (not my post) after you ripped his or her for their opinion on the lack of Bills action. Other people's opinion are as valuable as yours...sometimes you forget that "Mr. Kotter" -
The reason for lack of FA action....
Niagara Bill replied to Dibs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe you don't understand....the reason we are so close to the cap 8.5 based on your numbers which are quite suspect, is that our front office is so bad. Tenn had a bad team and they have the room... We have many holes to fill dispite the record and then started FA by creating another at guard. Our drafting history with this group of FO people shows little chance of filling these, or more than 1 or 2 for sure, so the other 4 or 5 need to be filled by FA. I had no problem with losing Levitre if the money was too high, but we also lost the backup we spent 3 years preparing...and have not fixed it. Here we go again,,, will we get Richie Incognito for a year again... Our O line was becoming a strength and we all had prayed for that for many years and condemed many FO personnel for not recognizing the need. No QB can develop without the OLine... By the way your spacing on your article is very nice teacher. -
Exactly right which is why we should all be upset with the Levitre situation. We have so many holes to fill and yet we created another. He was worth the money and we blew it. We draft poorly but when get a good one we say bye bye....when is this FO going to get it.....13 years and counting

Nice + a gentleman + respectful + knowledge.... does not equal successful. Coaching requires leadership Enough said about a coach who showed little passion when leadership required it -

Niagara Bill replied to chef4131's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
maybe you are right the sky is falling Lets see we need for sure 1 starting LB ...maybe 2 1 starting QB 1 starting receiver 2 starting guards (Levitre and Reinhart) 1 starting safety (if you don't believe Searcy has made it) 1 starting CB...Aaron Williams didn't make it an Terrance McGee is gone... And ll that to just stay even... So scanning our last succesfful free agent period who turned out???? Mario?? Merriman....Barnett, we just cut him....Ruvell Martin...Morrisson,,, Scanning our last few drafts how many players became starters year 1....hummmmmmm .....1 at CB, Just sayin' And Buddy has everyone scouting QB's and picks as was told to us by Bucky Gleason...so FA have to wait...which means based on last year we spent all our time on FA (Mario) and no time on the draft....ugh -

Qb, Wr, LB. O line....enough said And San Fran has 12 picks... -
according to people on this board the Fins have overpaid for the 3 FA they signed...but they have fewer holes now than before and we don't Everyone knows you don't pay 7 or 8 M for a guard who will be a staple on your line for another 6 years...(sacasm) So now we are farther behind...base on activity todate...4 - 12

Excuse me sir...you are obviously a pro sports writer with a very stunted approach. I will argue more than 1 point if I choose to. Your option is to not read them. If you think that Bradham is a starter and going to 4 LB sets with no one on the roster is not a self created issue then I am not sure what may be important to you. We weakened ourselves at OL, LB, QB and WR for sure. Last year we cut at least 3 young WR with a chance and kept Ruvell Martin..who what a choice. Now the players we kept we are cutting...bad bad managing When it is obvious that you have the need th cost goes up to fill the position, and we become more desparate to draft for need rather than the best player. Anyone who has followed the NFL knows that. -

I agree 100% and we are making some of the holes ourselves. The cost of filling them goes up also when it is obvious you need the FA -

And who os other starting LB...did anyone actually prove themselves last year. Bryan Scott actually had more plays that Shep. Cutting Nelson, Fitz, Barnett was a huge mistake when we have no talent to replace them. I am not saying that we can win SB with them but we are creating more holes than we can handle based on our history. Draft, and get free agents into the fold before you open more needs. It forces us to OVERPAY in FA and REACH in the DRAFT as the result of need. Why do you think we have some cap issues and are a bad team...think about it -
And try JP for QB...he really has matured and could be a diamond in the rough
