  1. A great player and even better person. So strong for everyone else.
  2. Van could make me feel I was at the Ralph or where ever the game was even if I was sitting in a chair at home. I often listened to Van and not the TV feed. I was at the Ralph (Rich at the time) for the comeback but I never tire of listening to his broadcast of that day. Fandamonium. Van, get well soon, you are part of who we all are, you helped create these crazy Bills fans.
  3. Content with life. No way, that is why he craves attention and writes such drivel. He must have an IQ of 45. His whole existence seems to have been based on sacks. His coach took that away and he has whined ever since. A leader and good player and good person would have followed direction and showed teammates how to do your assignment. And where is Biggie Small today??
  4. I am not as easily influenced by this letter as many have been. I saw Haynesworth as an overpaid selfish guy, who because he was now rich was incapable of taking direction and working hard to prepare. He did not play well in any aspect after the money came. He was a bad teammate. He had no effort. Yes players are more effective in certain systems based on schemes. If he worked in a bank, and he did not like where his desk was located does that not mean he should be in the office early, work hard, be as effective as he can be , earn his pay, stay later than others, help his mates, bring in the coffee sometimes and be a leader. Haynesworth is a whining privileged athlete. I see this letter as a minor step on his road to becoming honest, but still along way to go.
  5. I prefer an increase to 8 games. Quarterbacks were granted a point of honor to have access to the footballs prior to the game, He did not break a rule he broke the TRUST.
  6. Let me say first I am thrilled with hiring Rex R as our coach, but some times a little doubt sneaks in when I see all these old Jests being considered and brought into camp...players the Jests don't want and seemingly having some warm connection to Rex. I then remember the bravo talk when Rex actually considered that Maybin could play and how long it took him to realize that Maybin was a fraud. I know he is a players coach but loyalty can also be a major block to success. Anyone else have these anxiety feelings about old Jests players?
  7. He has come to the CFL because he looked so bad at the combine for veterans and no NFL team offered him a chance. Back to DWTS is his future. He has slowed down. Hope he does well but I suspect his love of football has passed him by
  8. he is from Baaaston Mass so what do you expect.
  9. We needed a punt catcher not a punt returner
  10. A terrible incident for sure and hope no one is seriously injured BUT, is it really necessary to have it be the lead story on the news around the country. Is it really necessary to call in the State Police to investigate. Is it really necessary to find a person to charge and blame when 30 kids bounce on a wooden stage and it breaks. Likely the governor will ban all stage productions until a full review can be done, all stages are checked and someone goes to jail. Hilary should be there soon to express her outrage. Cruz will blame the illegal immigrant policy. Will helmets now be required for anyone on stage so little Jonny and Alicia will be safe or will singing in groups of more than 5 be stopped. Sarcasm for sure by me but why the over reaction. Does it really need to be on the front page of USA Today and find it's way to the courts.
  11. If Thurman Thomas was the running back coach CJ Spiller would have run for 1800 yards and we would have made the playoffs and if my late grandma had nuts etc etc
  12. after 10 posts already you think you have been lambasted and ridiculed....or so young and naïve you are, sorry your feelings were hurt
  13. A dancer, a wimp and a front runner...will never be successful and will spend career as a specialist on bad teams. This guy is the second coming of Ted Ginn Jr. and is more suited to reality TV and the Kardashians than the NFL Talent and no guts.
  14. It took you 496 posts to show your true intelligence. While we are at it lets suggest how bad the Steelers O was with Bradshaw and 4 Superbowls. Obviously Franko Harris was too slow to be an NFL Running back and imagine what they could have done with Tony Dorsett.
  15. Every coach has warts, and Rex has loyalty to a fault for sure. Competition is the corner stone of building a team and a great ex has learned the balance required in his 6 years with the Jets. I like the hire, I hate the Jests. The biggest difference between the teams is GM. The Jests did not have a GM. They had 2 huge failures in the position. Whaley will not be a failure and has control over the 53 man squad. Rex will be successful here. Go Bills
  16. how many threads do we need for Chip and his love of Mariota
  17. I only hope we do not go through another transition in the style of O lineman. In the last 6 or 7 years we went from huge and road graders to small and nimble to big and strong and every time that occurs it takes 2 or 3 years to gather the right personnel and then more time to allow them to play together.
  18. Why keep a soft back, who never runs straight ahead, cannot hit a hole and is oft injured if he gets more than 5 carries a game...
  19. I don't care if Marrone is an idiot, hated by some etc...we were 9&7, almost made the playoffs, got better each year, and still had no QB Now we are back to being a recycle program of the 80's. Polian is past his prime as Levy was. We now may have to accept another unproven HC in Reich Polian brings in his kid, Schwartz leaves and we end up 5& 11 but rebuilding again We go from a young and aggressive org to old and sleepy again. Why not bring back Walt Corey and the Prevent Defence
  20. We found a great defence and can continue that with Kiko back and Brown experience and Hughs back. We concentrated on Special teams in the off season and it showed but it will require concentration again to keep the spark Our offence is bad and no matter what we do we can only have marginal improvement next year without a QB... no QB...no playoffs. The only other way to get to 11 wins is to have a running game that cannot be stopped which means both an o-line makeover ( at least 3 players). and a great running back.( Spiller is not good enough)
  21. Can Spiller actually run in a straight line??? he juking before he even takes a step forward and then misses the hole
  22. in years past I spent hours reading the sight and communicating with many folks. It has gradually changed to a be only mildly informative and is now so over moderated and formatted it has lost its edginess. The edginess made this sight. Now, 2 or 3 minutes each day is enough. I now see people pretending to be something they are not. I see geeks ( not football geeks) creating words such as "presser". Because of over moderation topics are too long. It is forbidden to mention anything new without a moderator combining it with a topic of 27 pages ( see Jim Kelly), unless of course it is a survey. Mods now are thought police. It now feels like lawyers vet everything. it is still a great site to organize activities about the Bills, I have met great friends here in past years but today actual new info is gone. I think all those who were real knowledgeable have left and it is now cut and past of twitter reports. Strange how a twitter report is considered gospel. The edginess was like sitting at the local bar talking Bills. Ah but now the lawyers know best.
  23. I support this idea too. CJ has talent but little consistent results. He is the EJ of running backs, looks like he should be and isn't what is advertised
