  3. That was part of my choice. Beta had the better quality, but a blank VHS tape could do up to 6 hours of recording, versus only 5 for Beta. Yep, locally our second video rental in our small town (Video Voyage) had separate VHS and Beta sections. The first video rental "place" (it was Rite Aid pharmacy) only carried VHS, and only one copy of each movie.
  4. So I heard the possible reason the couple I know caught it. Their son had died of cancer, and the funeral was in mid-March. People from NYC came up for the services, and the thought is that is how they contracted it.
  5. When I bought my first VCR, I had to decided whether to go with Beta or VHS. Good thing I went with VHS.
  6. I am still working, I'm an essential employee, even got the letter to prove it if I get pulled over.
  7. We were still using those at the grocery store I worked at in the mid 1990’s.

  15. I’ve never had a Paula doughnut.
  16. That wouldn't make you laugh, that's a horror story.
  17. I think its a doughnut.
  18. There’s a documentary about him called Still Bill on Amazon’s Prime. You can either pay to watch or sign up for a trial period of some streaming service to see it free.
  19. $300? I spent about $50 on mine. Not all the features of that one, but it works.
  20. That's nothing new, people have been doing that since self checkouts started being installed in stores.
  21. Go to Olive Garden and get take out. Put on some Italian restaurant music on Pandora. Go rent a Pope costume for after dinner fun.
  22. I'm supposed to be leaving on a cruise today. And have another week off in mid-July in the Adirondacks. That one I'm hoping is not cancelled.
  23. Try it now.
  24. Someone I know in a FB group does this, and it's interesting seeing how the percentages change each week, though it is not a truly 100% scientific poll. Two degrees of separation is acceptable for your answer. So if your neighbors coworker has it, it would count. If your neighbor, coworker, garbage man, accountant, babysitter has it, it does not count.
