She's running in case there was any doubt. -
I never said anything about God or divine intervention. Of course humans have sex without intent of reproduction. But biologicaly that's the whole point of sex. To reproduce. That's why it feels so good to quote Chuck Mangione, so people will do it a lot. Come on man, EVERYONE knows this. Its a risk we take when we have sex. What you are describing is abortion as a means of birth control. But it does answer a question I often ask. Why are there so ***** many? https://www.reuters.com/world/us/abortions-us-rise-reversing-30-year-trend-new-data-show-2022-06-15/ 1 in 5 pregnancies end in abortion. Surely birth control isn't that ineffective is it? In this day and age, contraception is everywhere and there are many choices. Pills, YAZ, diaphragms, patches, shots, vaginal rings, rubbers (always worked for me as a young man on the loose). Planned Parenthood lists 12 types, most effective 95%+ of the time. Only spermicide, rhythm method, and pull out are lower than 95%. https://www.plannedparenthood.org/planned-parenthood-pacific-southwest/blog/12-types-of-birth-control If you have health insurance, contraception is free. No copay. ACA stipulates that. If you don't have insurance you can get it from planned parenthood or other places. If you can't do that, within a mile of every person in every city is a place that sells rubbers. What you describe is just a lame excuse.

And where did she get this truthfulness trait? Her father? -
I think this used to be true 30 years ago. With so many people on FakeBook and Twitter etc these days they are bombarded with politics politics politics. And it's mostly the other side is bad and be afraid, be very afraid of them. And the way the "algorithms" work they just see more and more of one side of the story. This is a big part of why we are so divided these days IMHO. I can remember growing up in the 1960s/1970s/1980s I had no idea what my Aunts' and Uncles' political views were. Nowadays my brother-in-law posts political garbage and my daughter and his sons argue about it online and feelings are hurt. I agree with Bill Maher, STOP TALKING ABOUT POLITICS ALL THE TIME. Great movie. If you haven't seen it you should.

Biden Calls for Gas Tax Holiday
reddogblitz replied to ChiGoose's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Nor do they in Seattle. And those big ass pickups are everywhere. -
I don't know. I didn't see anyone break in. Maybe it was because they had a hefty presence of cops in riot gear as opposed to mall cops behind bicycle racks?

I can just see Jerry Jones packing up the moving vans in the middle of the night to move to Indianapolis over this. Do you ever consider who we might be flushing? Up until President Biden, In my lifetime the Democrats have always won with young charismatic candidates. JFK, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama Now when the really Need a candidate like this, they don't have one. I wonder if he/she was aborted and thrown in a dumpster. Ludwig Van Beethoven's father had syphillis and was an alcoholic and they already had children. A prime candidate in today's world. Heck, President Obama had a Single mother and whose father in Kenya had zero interest in raising him. He would be a prime candidate in today's world. Dave Thomas was an orphan. Unwanted by both parents yet was able to work hard and start Wendy's thus employing hundreds of thousands of people. Another prime candidate. Maybe we aborted the person who could cure cancer or come up with some invention no one else has thought of helping climate change or solve world hunger. Do you ever think about this? What a crazy world we live in now when people choose to have sex knowing the possible consequences. When said consequences occur they cry not fair not fair and flush it. I don't care how you look at it, that organism or whatever it is in there with separate DNA from the mother is alive. Science tells us this. Abortion ends said life.

It certainly is. I was in Chicago for bidness a couple of times and went to Buddy Guy's on Monday night to sit in at the blues jam. The first time the Cheese were in town for a Monday nighter at Soldier Field. The place was rockin'. After the game a lot of fans came in after the game. The second time I went I met Buddy.

I view these as separate questions. Why was security so lax that day and was the FBI involved? Is there evidence Trump tried to pull off a coup of some kind? They were planning it on Fakebook and Tweeter for crying out loud. I was referring to the first. What were you saying about whataboutism again?

Well I've been to Spain, Chicago, and Oklahoma. And I had really good time in all 3.

Biden Calls for Gas Tax Holiday
reddogblitz replied to ChiGoose's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Sounds like President Biden wants to implement John McCain's policy. -
Today is Justice Clarence Thomas' 74th birthday. Happy birthday Clarence. For those keeping score, it means another 10 years for Justice Thomas on the Supreme Court. After being confirmed and beating then Senators Biden and Kennedy and the rests' best efforts, he stated he was 42 years old and was going to serve on the court for 42 years. 32 down, 10 to go. Payback is a b!tch.

Biden Calls for Gas Tax Holiday
reddogblitz replied to ChiGoose's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Trouble in donkey land. President Biden wants to do a 3 month gas tax holiday and have states do likewise. However at least one donkey governor is not into it. Jay "The Snake" Inslee is not buying it. President Unity having trouble uniting his own party. -
This still grates on me to this day. The Democrat party punched him in the shorts on this one. He got excited, so what? Then the very next day it was all over everywhere (CNN, MSNBC, NBC CBS, ABC) etc . That he was a raving lunatic and he was done. Then Wasserman and Hillary did another punch to the shorts with Bernie in 2016. For all their talk about open and free elections and the will of the people blah blah blah, they sure don't practice what they preach. And that does not even include Raskin and Jayapal trying to throw out votes in January 2017. Mine is looking good cuz I didn't sell anything. Market will come back and in the meantime I'm buying low which is a good thing to do in the stock market.

At first blush, thinking the FBI or FBI informants being involved seems nutty and conspiratorial. But if you think about what they have done in the recent past , it makes me wonder. The Governor Whitmer kidnapping plot comes to mind. Seems they like to coax people into committing crimes and come swooping in at the last minute to save the day. They also seem to like to pick people easily duped like people with schizophrenia to do the crimes. Like the bomb plot in Portland. Laugh it off if you must, but its really not out of character for the FBI to be involved. https://thefederalist.com/2021/07/23/the-whitmer-kidnapping-case-reveals-the-fbis-new-counterterrorism-target-is-you/ https://news.yahoo.com/fbi-informants-had-bigger-role-213400243.html https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/portlanders-condemn-bomb-plot-criticize-fbi-probe/

Climate Change And Heat Waves
reddogblitz replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I remember it very well. I lived in Dallas. We had 42 days in a row over 100 degrees and 69 days over 100 degrees that summer. It was one hot mother trucker. https://www.dallasnews.com/news/2010/08/06/dallas-fort-worth-heat-wave-of-1980-still-seared-into-memories/ Couldn't read your article so I added my own. 🙂 -

Name a Right Wing Position
reddogblitz replied to Backintheday544's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Good point. However the unemployment rate from May 2018 to March 2020 was the same as it is now. Never went over 4 during that time. I don't recall the kind of labor shortages we have now back then. https://www.bls.gov/charts/employment-situation/civilian-unemployment-rate.htm -

reddogblitz replied to Backintheday544's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I find this Interesting. The unemployment rate is as you stated 3.6%. Sounds pretty doggone low. Yet everywhere I go they are looking for people to hire. Grocery store, restaurants, car dealership, everywhere. The Uhaul place by my house is offering $1000 signing bonus, start today, get paid today, and $16 per hour. They've been looking for weeks. In some places McDonald's is offering $25 per hour. It was not like this before the pandemic. Why is this? People used to work 2 jobs but now with the rise in wages they don't have to? A lot of people have decided to not work and stay home and be "entrepreneurs" or become Tik Tok stars? Since they aren't looking for work they aren't counted? I'm not suggesting anyone is lying. Just having a hard time squaring this. -
Ray Epps et al. and the FEDSURRECTION

One thing I find interesting about this Ray Epps thing is he said the day before we must go into the Capital. Then he is right there when the first baracade was breached. Yet he didn't go in. Why not? -

Finally someone agrees with me. Lock it up or don't pick up soap for 6 months. I said a year but would compromise on this.
