I think this used to be true 30 years ago. With so many people on FakeBook and Twitter etc these days they are bombarded with politics politics politics. And it's mostly the other side is bad and be afraid, be very afraid of them. And the way the "algorithms" work they just see more and more of one side of the story. This is a big part of why we are so divided these days IMHO. I can remember growing up in the 1960s/1970s/1980s I had no idea what my Aunts' and Uncles' political views were.
