This was my post on the half time show and rap. I don't like rap. You do. So what? Why does that bother you? I never said it was horrible, quite the contrary. I speak English just fine. To be fair I can't make out the lyrics in most rock songs either. If you can find one of my posts where I said what you said I said, please let me know. I do own one rap CD. US3 Hand on the Torch. Its awesome.

Fair point. BLM protests did a lot more. This trucker thing seems to be peaceful so far. Props to them for that. I just don't like ANYONE for any reason blocking roadways and taking away other people's freedom to move freely through city or legally cross the border. Or, block the freedom of people and companies on both sides of the border to exchange goods and services. They are definitely doing that. That's my problem with it even though I agree with a lot of what they are protesting about.

It was the Seahawks and the Steelers. I played on the Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline that year so they took us to the game. It was fun. Super Bowl week is a zoo. I can only imagine what it's like now.

The greatest line about rap I ever heard was from Dr. Cornell West on the Bill Maher show. He said he remembers going to concerts by Aretha Franklin or The Supremes or The Isley Brothers and people knew the words to the songs and sang along and it was a beautiful moment of harmony and togetherness. Now its mostly one man with a microphone mostly talking about money.

I was at SB XL and that's what I saw. I payed attention and was into it cuz it was the Rolling Stones and I like them. But it was not like being at a concert cuz as you say most people weren't paying attention and milling around etc. That year there was a controversy cuz the NFL wouldn't let fat people be in the "crowd" on the field.

IMHO, best halftime show was Up With People. All kidding aside I watched a few minutes. I won't comment on if it was good or not cuz I don't like rap. I also don't like watching people lip sync. I don't like rap cuz the background beats all sound pretty much the same. And I can't make out the words to it cuz they talk so fast. But a lot of people like it and I'm sure it takes talent, but its just not my thing. What I would rather see is a top notch funky marching band like Gambling, Georgia Southern, or Norfolk State.

You think only the bridges are blocked? Did you think it was OK when BLM was blocking highways? Or is it only OK for protests you approve of? And how do you know dying Granny doesn't live on the other side? Its about Freedom, so its OK to deny others Freedom. Got it.

I'm sick of it too. But doesn't give anyone the right to block traffic and the border. Surely an inconvenience, but what about someone trying to go visit their dying Grandmother? Or someone trying to get their pregnant wife to the Hospital? No bggee. Just deal with this inconvenience cuz @Chef Jim is tired at mask mandates.

A Canadian person driving their car on freeways or across the bridge to get where they want to go. Companies and people on both sides of boarder from doing free exchange of goods and services. Protests are only OK when you like them? Only when they are worthy?

Blocking the border and not letting everyone else get to wherever they need to go is wrong. Actually denying Freedom to those behind them. Or, are you saying denying other's a Freedom is OK?

That would be like paying a ransom in a kidnapping case. May be time to lift mask mandates but you can't give in to them and do it. Would set a precedent for future protests.

The only dumb question is the one that isn't asked.

I actually prefer to watch women's basketball because hardly any of them can dunk. So they have to play more team work to get off a good shot. I have tried to get my wife, the woman's libber, to go to a Seattle Storm game but she doesn't want to go. She like football better which is cool.
