  1. We have had a SB between teams with black coaches.
  2. Perhaps but there hasn't been one for 18 years. In the program I saw Marv Lewis said they don't scout white CBs.
  3. Are you sure about this? https://fourvertsfootball.com/white-cornerbacks-in-the-nfl/ I saw a program where this was being discussed on NFL channel or ESPN. NFL teams don't even scout white CBs. High School and college coaches tell their white gifted athletes to not play CB cuz they know they'll never have a chance of even being looked at by NFL teams. Jason Seahorn was a fluke cuz his coach saw him playing basketball and knew he could do it.
  4. Why is it OK to have a racial disparity in players but not coaches?
  5. Yes. No Bill Bellyache and no Tommy makes reddogblitz a happy dog.
  6. The Rooney Rule I assume was started with good intentions. But I hate to see now that whenever a minority coach is interviewed the assumption is he was interviewed to check the rooney box. See above. Look at our DC. He gets interviewed ever year but hasn't landed a job in 15 years. We even interviewed him when we hired Coach Gailey for that purpose. We travelled to him and talked about 15 minutes so we could say we did. It was obvious. I'm sure some good has come out of it but it seems to me minority coaches are being used in the process.
  7. I literally LOL out loud every time I see John McEnroe get hit and spill his orange drink and say "You can't be serious". Maybe one had to have watched too many Borg McEnroe matches live to get it. But I agree the rest of them get old.
  8. I'm hoping football follows baseball's lead and doesn't let the cheaters in.
  9. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Now he can take his cheating to a beer belly softball league or use it when playing scrabble with Geselle. We'll never really know how good he really was or wasn't cuz he cheated.
  10. So? He'd be worth it. You get what you pay for. For what we'd get it sounds cheap.
  11. Barkley is injury riddled. Not interested. NO is in a similar position. I'd go after Kamara instead.
  12. I'm all for dumping him provided we can find someone better. Only lining up 13 yards back vs the Steelers resulting in a blocked punt/TD still bugs me.
  13. This seems to be a particularly popular opinion these days. Josh does everything and coach McDermott just gets in the way. I have a question about this. Was the same true of Coach McDermott's role in 2017 when Tyrod Taylor took us to the playoffs?
  14. I would like to hire Sean to be our OC if Coach Daboll moves on.
  15. How many Super Bowls did the Chargers win again? Seriously, you wanna follow the Chargers example?
  16. Its a dumb analogy IMHO. In baseball, the defensive team can't score. In football, they can. In baseball, the defensive team cannot intercept a pitch or force the short stop to fumble to get back on offense before the opponent scores. In football, they can.
  17. OK. You may be right on the rankings, but there was more than "a couple fumbles" and why is that OK? There was also the blocked punt pretty much costing us the game vs the Steelers. and the fumble in the Colts game. Costly. There were others as well.
  18. I figured we'd kick it out of the EZ cuz that's what we usually do. I'm sure Coach McDermott was concerned about a run back and based on the amount of kicking teams blunders this team pulled all year I don't blame him. Playing prevent defense prevented us from winning bottom line. It was a great shot no doubt. But not convinced there won't be at least one more.
  19. In football it is possible to score on defense while in baseball you can't. Big difference.
  20. What about player safety? Guys playing totally gassed out would cause more injury. Its gotta end sometime. Play some D. Football is unlike baseball where both teams get a chance cuz, unlike baseball, it is possible to score on D and kicking teams. I've seen OT games end this way before. We did not lose cuz of the rules. It was because we didn't play well enough to win at the end primarily on D. Our O could have scored more points earlier in the game too.
  21. Agreed. My Dad used to say you gotta win big games to get to big games. What about the 2 playoff wins last year? What about beating the Cheats*** at their house to win the division? What about beating the Cheats*** in round 1? Weren't any of those big games?
  22. We also had a better regular season record and higher playoff seed last year. Even though we did beat KC once and played 'em to OT, 2020 season was better IMHO.
