Sounds great. My only concern there would be the Zebras and the Tommy factor. Just ask the Chiefs what can happen (as if we didn't already know). For that reason if we make it I want anyone but the Bucs. But with the Zebras and the Tommy factor it very well could be.

Analytics vs. Heuristics-Decision Making in the NFL
reddogblitz replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was surprised he didn't go for it instead of kicking the FG to tie. Its crazy. He's got a talented team but blows games with bizarre coaching decisions. After they didn't get the 4th down from their own 18, the team fell off a cliff and muddled around for a quarter before getting too little too late at the end. -
The article made some good points. However I have to dispute one of the points. Actually Republicans also don't care about "election integrity safeguards" either. Neither party does. What the do want is elections they can win. And they're both working on making that happen.

Daboll's Play Calling -- The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
reddogblitz replied to HIT BY SPIKES's topic in The Stadium Wall
Who is McKittrick? I see the name here frequently but have no idea who he is. I have watched almost ever game since 1995 and have no idea who he is. Even my friend DuckDuckGo was of no hep. The pro football Bills all time roster does not list a McKittrick. https://www.footballdb.com/teams/nfl/buffalo-bills/alltime-roster?letter=M As far as bad play calling yesterday I would go with every time we got too 1st and goal it was Singletary up the middle. I know we did it 3 times a row with the same result. No gain. -
You make good points. I guess the new fangled coach I was thinking of was the Chargers coach. Married to going for it on 4th down come hell or high water costing his team games. I don't know which or even if any NFL coaches have poor people skills with their players. How could I? I'm not a player or coach. But this guy is and says there are, so I'm gonna give it some credibility. Of course he could just be a buffoon.

Its not irony, its life. When people are young they think they know everything and can do it better than those old codgers. What do they know? The world has changed and us young bucks know how it works and what's needed. See youth in the 1960s. As they age and work in the real world they realize things are not that simple. They see new ideas come and go. They see what works over time and what does not. Around 50 they acquire this thing called wisdom which younger people do not understand. So younger people don't pay attention to the wisdom learned over many years and instead make their own mistakes. Young people dissing this guy for his old man ideas will be doing the same thing in 30 years. Times change but human nature does not. Takes a long time to figure that out.

This is true of everything in life IMHO. I worked 38 years in IT and it was the same there. I busted my hump with no connections to get my first job. From there every better job I got was because I was good, but also cuz someone that worked there put in a good word for me, or they knew me already cuz I was in the business. People wanna hire who they know. Just how life works.

This article brings something as an American citizen I care about. How in the heck did a couple of thousand un armed knuckleheads breach security and get into Congress and shut it down when we all knew tensions were going to be extremely high that day. How did that happen? Who made the decisions? I want to know.

Here is my 2 most funny January 6 things today: First, in the Seattle Times (yes I read the newspaper) they had a long article about Representative Jayapal and her experiences with how we almost lost our fragile democracy cuz people didn't want to respect the vote and will of the people. This is the same person that challenged the result in Trump won states in 2016. When asked about it she said it was different. Of course it was. Second was an email from Stamp Stampede. There was a section crowing about January 6 and people attacking congress. The next section was giving much credit and love to the guy that flew his ultra light airplane and landed on the white house lawn to protest something or other. What a hero!

Anyone that can beat Tommy.

I don't think this even figures into game time playoff decisions by the NFL. I've seen too many extremely cold playoff night games in places like Green Bay and Chicago to think otherwise. You woukd think an organization that loves the fans so much would take this into consideration.

I would prefer the opposite. Indy clobbered us by running down our throat. Our run D is still suspect IMHO. meanwhile we beat NE handily once in their own house and should have won the Wind Bowl Game. McDermott has won 3 out of the last 4 vs Bill Bellyache and totally out coached him the last one. There is a new sheriff in town.

Here's an interesting article about the history of Gerrymandering: https://www.history.com/news/gerrymandering-origins-voting It started shortly after America started. Every political party ever in power has used it. Started with the Jeffersonian Republicans (not Republican, they started in 1854) and the Wiggs and the Democrats and Republicans. Here is a rather gross example: Whichever party is in power will use it and have. When the Democrats are back in power they will do the same. I'm not espousing Gerrymandering, but it is what it is. This book has a good breakdown on how it works: https://www.amazon.com/Ratf--ked-David-Daley-audiobook/dp/B01HU2X7BE/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3D1BDXKRF9V5E&keywords=Ratf*cked&qid=1640988253&s=books&sprefix=ratf+cked%2Cstripbooks%2C191&sr=1-1

I don't think any such thing. I do remember earlier in the year against some bad teams (like Jacksonville) I got the feeling Daboll and McDermott were using this bad competition work on the run game. That's what it looked like to me anyway.
