The End of the Lamar Jackson Era
Captain Hindsight replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Me either. Hes a dynamic athlete, but when I saw him live last year my take away was "great athlete, ok passer" -

The Bills all but eliminating the Pats******************** reign of terror is wonderful and well deserved for the Bills. The Jets getting their first win (and maybe Gase's last ever win) to embarrass the Pats********** as a final FU to Belicheck for resigning as their HC after a day, would be the ultimate cherry on top. Especially on MNF

Gilmore Selling his home

You can make the agreement whatever you want it to be. Last year when Clowney was traded, one of the reasons BoB was so torn apart for it was he was paying 7 million of Clowney's 15 million salary https://www.si.com/nfl/texans/news/texans-agree-to-pay-a-portion-of-seahawks-jadeveon-clowney-s-2019-salary-C-iYjF2wqkyU26Ps2ss2Rg#:~:text=In one final piece for,%248 million of the deal. If that what it takes to get a draft pick and a guy off your books, teams will eat some cash -
He also then lost a game because he couldnt count to 11 when the playoffs were on the line Brissett was also playing with a sprained thumb that that day. He could barely grip the ball

With a team that went 16-0 the previous year. Cassel receivers were Randy Moss, Wes Welker and Jabar Gaffney This pats* team is bad. NKeal Harry, Demaire Byrd and Edelman? Edelman is suddenly not a great player with scattershot accuracy throwing to him. Harry is a bust. Byrd has 62 career catches in 5 years Newton looks shot. Belicheck is a great coach, but poor drafting and a bad roster has finally caught up them

Went with Josh and Herbert. Josh has two rough games, but I'm pretty confident he is going to bounce back. He just wants it so bad, ill take my chances with a guy like him I considered Burrow over Herbert, but I think Herbert has already looked like a budding star. Burrow is getting there too. Either would be good

Trevor Lawrence Advised to Avoid Jets
Captain Hindsight replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean, I get this line of thinking. but when you are the top 1% of your profession, you can handle things a little differently. Trevor Lawrence might be the best prospect since Luck. If he wants to set himself up in the best situation, he should do that. If he refuses to play for the Jets (which he has not said) 31 other teams would be more than happy to have him Also, this happens so rarely, I don't think it is really an issue -

The Jets then passed on Orlando Pace, to trade back for..... Ike Hillard 6th overall -
McCarthy was a stupid hire. I have no idea what Jones was thinking. He traded a underachieving coach for an underachieving coach. He would have been better off just elevating Kellen Moore, which is what he really wanted to do. At least take a chance He hired McCarthy because he didnt want to be wrong about Moore, and McCarthy was willing to keep Moore around. For the Cowboys to be this bad with that roster is an incredible achievement actually

I didn't say it was a smart move 😄

I think Darnold is fine to play, I think hes being benched. Just a theory. Gase is coaching for his job and Flacco has won a SB. Darnold is 11-19 as a starter

When Dak went down, my first thought was well they could be in worse hands. Their backup last year was Cooper Rush, but last night showed the Cowboys problems are far bigger than Dalton. He wasn't great, but if the team played decently, they could win the NFC East especially considering how bad that division is
