  1. Yes, he was traded during the 2018 draft for the 12th pick in the 1st round. They then used that pick to move up to the 7th pick to draft Josh Allen.
  2. But they did such a great job addressing the position in the 2018 draft using a 6th (McCloud) and a 7th (Proehl)
  3. When my daughter was younger, she would say “let me know when it’s the halftime show.” She’d be watching the Puppy Bowl. For the 50th Super Bowl, they should’ve brought back ‘Up with People’.
  4. Jim Zorn got upset after last week’s game when he found out about it
  5. It was actually funny to watch when the pass rush got to him. Frequently they couldn’t get him down (because he was a statue!) and the play would be blown dead with 3 or 4 guys hanging onto him.
  6. I was going to say that Gregg Rosenthal (note the two G’s) of NFL.com had him on a list of possible cuts, but now he’s updated with a note from the Cardinals GM that “cutting him is not an option”. Apparently it’s one of those contracts where cutting him creates a bigger cap hit.
  7. Tough to live down lining up behind the left guard for a snap.
  8. The owners definitely do care. Their greediness is unmatched. For those that don’t know, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira did not get paid for their Super Bowl halftime performance and that is the common NFL practice. The fans you see on the field are unpaid volunteers. Sure they get to see top recording artists up close but the speakers are set up for the fans in the stands, not on the field. The people that setup/ take down the stage, etc. are paid minimum wage but they have to go thru extensive training and rehearsals and don’t get to watch the game.
  9. They probably wouldn’t change them. A lot of traditional conference names don’t make sense anymore. The Big 12 conference now has 10 schools. They should rename it the Southwest. West Virginia made no sense moving there. The Big 10 now has 14 teams. They could be renamed the Midwest, but they added Rutgers and Maryland in 2014. At least the PAC12 was smart enough to have PAC in their name instead of Big. They just changed the number as schools were added.
  10. You beat me to it. I’ve liked beating up on the Dolphins to make up for the 70’s but it would be time to move them to the South. I would also like the chance to get even with New England but I wouldn’t hate not having to play them twice a year.
  11. Who’s on first.
  12. Why Chris Kelsay kept getting big contracts? Why Danny Crossman was kept thru several head coach changes? Why Marv Levy didn’t force a curfew for Super Bowl XXV?
  13. Still, leave the Super Bowl Niners for the Browns? ?. Great for him to get a promotion but it could backfire on him. The new Cleveland head coach Stefanski had one season as offensive coordinator. His defensive coordinator is also moving from the Niners.
  14. He sure knew how to fill the radio time by saying the same thing over and over again. Then, like you said he’d hit the mike and laugh at his own jokes. Never liked him and too bad Everett didn’t permanently mess up his smug face.
  15. I don’t see where to change it in Profile or Account Settings. I deleted the current photo and replaced it but that only changed the Profile page.
  16. I recall pondering these days when all these long-time starters would hang them up. With the poor record of success for QBs drafted, the NFL QB play could really suffer. Add to that the regression of recently drafted guys like Mariota, Trubisky, Mayfield, Goff, etc.
  17. Yeah, Joe Montana was an average QB at Notre Dame. Had the Bills drafted him back then instead of Bill Walsh and the Niners, he may not have been a HOFer.
  18. That’s why I’m of the opinion that you not only invest in a good backup QB, you also carry a 3rd. If you’re serious about winning, you don’t have a backup that can’t win games for you and you don’t have a guy who played some QB in high school as your emergency quarterback. It’s the most important position on the team. I don’t understand why most teams don’t carry a 3rd QB on the roster. Your starter gets hurt and is going to miss games, so your backup is now starting and you’re going to then add a guy from the practice squad or off the street? The Bills are said to have a complex offense. Could they really expect to have someone learn enough on one week. They’d have to really limit the number of plays. There are currently only 16 games in an NFL season. If you want to make the playoffs, you shouldn’t be cheap with the backup QBs.
  19. LOL! I was thinking the same thing!
  20. Just “NO!” No more guys with injury history.
  21. Yes, outside of this year they always enshrine six. I liked when Baseball in 2013 didn’t induct anybody. If there’s nobody worthwhile they shouldn’t go looking for someone just to induct.
