  1. This signing is really meaningless in regards to the Bills. We couldn’t beat their average OL when half of them were injured and we were facing back-ups. So, they sign Brown, but nothing really changes.
  2. He hasn’t proven much because he hasn’t had any decent QB throwing to him. Still he put up decent numbers. I think there’s a lot of value to unlock here.
  3. I’d give a 2nd. A 1st if we knew we could sign him long-term. After a year of Josh Allen throwing to him, I doubt he’ll come cheap.
  4. Pretty sure Hoodie was filming that. That’s the same workout. Unless he did 2 one-handed catches while just wearing shorts.
  5. And Taron Johnson against the Chiefs this past season.
  6. So now they have 2 QBs on their roster that have been kept in games against the Bills instead of heading to locker room (or hospital!).
  7. I agree with the OP. For example, to bolster his point, back in the 2000 draft, we wasted a bunch of draft picks. Instead of Leif Larsen, we could’ve picked Tom Brady at pick 194. Who ever heard of a Viking playing DT? What were we doing????
  8. This guy has near-zero trade value. While they may not have his pedigree, there’s many Olivers in the NFL. Basically a JAG and no one is going to be excited to pay him that salary.
  9. I wouldn’t call someone in their mid-20s “grown up”.
  10. Not scrambling. His contract was up and everyone knew this. The Bills were within their right to move on due to this. They chose not to and to let it play out.
  11. I agree that we need better OL play, but this to me sounds like another excuse. Last offseason, it was a pass rusher. All we needed was another pass rusher to beat the Chiefs. By our performance in the playoffs, I don’t even think we fixed that. Granted, Miller was injured, but our pass rush was nonexistent. What’s next year’s scapegoat going to be?
  12. Of course, they still have a month to screw things up. But, I also think it’s unfair to compare playoff droughts and drafting between the 2. NHL draftees take many more years to properly develop compared to NFL draftees, many of which become starters right out of college. So, naturally it’s going to take more years to turn the ship around.
  13. One team on the up, and one that has plateaued.
  14. 5 picks vs 1/2 picks in Round 1 says the most to me. And I t’s interesting that the year they traded their 1st for Diggs, they still used their next pick available on a defensive player. This is still a clear pattern of draft strategy. Maybe they think offensive in 1st round picks are too risky or that McD believes he can coach-up any deficiencies a defensive 1st rounder may have. But this is all just an exercise in futility. It doesn’t matter where they are drafting offense vs defense if they are not hitting on these picks. And they aren’t. They need to get better identifying talent in all rounds.
  15. Amazing he would turn down $50M per year, even with $133M guaranteed. Sounds like this is about Respect.
  16. I love Moulds. IMO, he’s arguable the best WR talent the bills have had in the last 30 years. The dude was huge and always came down with the ball. Too bad he never had a QB in their prime. Him and Allen > Diggs and Allen.
  17. Ha. Of course he is. He won’t be laughing anymore when the Leafs, like clockwork, gets bounced from the first round. Maybe he’ll lose his love for hockey again.
  18. The Sabres are the youngest team in hockey and are fairly equal (ie 2 points) with the Wings, despite them going on an off-season spending spree. The Sabres have 4 point per game players with 5 over 20 goals. They have arguably the best defenseman in hockey and another one following in his footsteps. Detroit has 1 PPG player, the only one over 20 goals. In 2 years, with competent goaltending, they’ll be going deep into the playoffs. A hot goalie is sometimes the only thing needed to win a Cup and they have the hottest goalie in the NCAA over the past 2 years. Other than that, the shelf life of good teams in the NHL lasts much longer than good teams in the NFL. NFL teams usually have a much shorter window and the Bills window inched down a little since this past season due to Allen’s contract. Longer open window means more tries. My money says the Sabres. You can stick with log rolling.
  19. Was just going to say this. Beane has been downright horrid drafting in rounds 1 and 2. Trade them both for more 4th-6th rounders where he does a bit better. We have too many needs: MLB, safeties, whole OL, TE, and WR2. More picks the better.
  20. I think the NFLPA would definitely be on board with this. Would automatically mean more money for all non-QB positions. That said, this would still go against the reason of having the cap. More money spent on other positions would disrupt parity.
  21. ChatGPT didn’t make fun of us for trading Teller? Guess it isn’t ready for prime time.
  22. Matakevich makes way too much money for what he does. Add Jones to the same conversation. Bye bye. This guy can take their place.
