How the Texans' Blood Stunt Affected the Bills' Run Game
Saint Doug replied to Old Coot's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is suggesting is works best on porous offensive lines. Do the Bills really qualify as a below average OL? Would love to see a breakdown of how often this was used against the Bills vs other teams. -
Hackett is a living reason for why we have the Rooney Rule. This guy has had maybe 1-2 successful seasons in the near 20 years he’s been in the NFL, yet he keeps getting jobs.

Beane is good at drafting after all -- A look at 2022
Saint Doug replied to boater's topic in The Stadium Wall
2022 was a great draft, but do the 2019 and 2020 drafts now. I will say 2021 was a little bit better, but not earth shattering. Some good role players in some of these, but not game changers. -
It's Sauce Gardner's turn. Extended through 2030, $120 Million.
Saint Doug replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember it was not too long ago the Bills had this exact same plan. I think it was during Whaley’s years (or maybe it was earlier) where we were fairly solid at many positions except for 1. It didn’t turn out too well for that front office. -
Bridgewater suspended from HS coaching
Saint Doug replied to TBBills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
“Hey Coach Teddy, can you give me some money to go get some _____ or meet up with _____?” ”Sure, I’ll call an Uber.” Teacher often buy school supplies for needy students. These supplies are not earmarked for certain individuals. If so, it is done above board and through official channels. And these supplies are directly needed for the curriculum. What were the Uber rides for? Where did these students go? What does it have to do with the team? You can see how this would raise questions. Again, I’m not saying these were not done in good faith. But, and it seems like the school district agreed, there is a right way to do it and a wrong way. Adults unofficially funneling money or services to a minors is a great way to get in trouble. -

My guess here is you have an adult giving money to unrelated minors. While this was probably done in good faith, I can see how this could be viewed as problematic. -
This is the type of thing you really need to see in person to appreciate.

McDermott not in Top 10 of NFL coaches per PFF.
Saint Doug replied to 14774's topic in The Stadium Wall
Until he gets a Ring, he shouldn’t be included in this list. In fact, he can’t even get to a Super Bowl with arguably the best QB in the league. -
Bengals bungling things up - new rookie contract clause
Saint Doug replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I see nothing wrong with this. As long as the reasons for “default” are clearly defined within the contract, it’s fine. These players shouldn’t be committing crimes (or the perception of) and expect to get paid. Anyone else wouldn’t. -
It’s a really odd contract the Bills signed here. All veteran salaries are guaranteed for that year if they are on day 1 roster. Having his 1 year contact guaranteed is basically him and agent hedging their bets that he will not be healthy enough to even be on the NFL season opening roster.

Cut Bosa and sign this guy. I’m not comfortable pencilling in a rookie into the CB2 spot during a year we are supposed to contend for the SB.

Owners approve a change to the onside kick rule
Saint Doug replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
The opposing team could tell the Bills they are going to throw a Hail Mary and they’d still complete it. -
Thoughts and prayers. But my first thought went to Kurt Cobain’s guitar and all the rest. Where are they going to go?
-
Yeah, back then, nobody was going to touch Kelly. No matter the stories of Jill showing up to the ER. Things have changed greatly for the better. They were incredible talents, no doubt. But, if they were decent people at the time, maybe they could won one of those. But, looking at the Boys, maybe it had nothing to do with their character.

Atlanta Falcons’ DC’s kid pranked Shedeur
Saint Doug replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
A decent organization would make him whole again. Let the fine be taxes on an extra $100,000 made. Make the son pay that. Edit: actually, I don’t blame the son. It was the dude who was way too casual with private contact information. -
Is this that DC’s son again?

This seems incredibly overblown. No one was harmed or was ever at risk. -
Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
Saint Doug replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Palmer had 584 last season with a real QB throwing to him. 581 the year before. He did have 769 three seasons ago. -

I take it you hated the Josh Palmer signing? -

The kind of help people were clamoring for was for early round pick (which btw, would be no better than Moore at this point). Given our defense has let us down 4 years in a row, I’d say we did the right thing. As for Moore, who knows. He’s young and has spent the last 4 years on 2 of the worst run teams in the NFL. Maybe a diamond in the rough. -

But they just brought in a WR today for a visit. Kind of proves they are looking to get better at WR. -
Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)
Saint Doug replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why is this guy still a free agent? Did he recently get cut loose? This guy’s stats aren’t that different from Josh Palmer’s, who played with a better QB. -
Buffalo Bills Consensus Draft Grades
Saint Doug replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with this. But if you are starting at ground level, then most positions are a need. In this case, every pick will be a need and also the BPA.
