  1. Palmer had 584 last season with a real QB throwing to him. 581 the year before. He did have 769 three seasons ago.
  2. I take it you hated the Josh Palmer signing?
  3. The kind of help people were clamoring for was for early round pick (which btw, would be no better than Moore at this point). Given our defense has let us down 4 years in a row, I’d say we did the right thing. As for Moore, who knows. He’s young and has spent the last 4 years on 2 of the worst run teams in the NFL. Maybe a diamond in the rough.
  4. But they just brought in a WR today for a visit. Kind of proves they are looking to get better at WR.
  5. Why is this guy still a free agent? Did he recently get cut loose? This guy’s stats aren’t that different from Josh Palmer’s, who played with a better QB.
  6. I agree with this. But if you are starting at ground level, then most positions are a need. In this case, every pick will be a need and also the BPA.
  7. You would think the Browns would’ve have learned their lesson about diva QBs.
  8. It’s ridiculous people still think Beane drafts BPA at this point. We have years of a draft record now and it’s abundantly clear 1st/2nd day picks are based on need. The difference is, and this is where people get confused, there is usually 1-3 positional “needs” on a team. You pick the BPA within this confine. Still, need comes 1st and BPA comes 2nd. In the past, selecting based on need was looked down upon. This was when rookies “developed” on the bench for a few years. Now, draftees are expected to start writhing 1-2 years. Drafting based on need is the proper way of building a team.
  9. Actually, I would be ecstatic. I don’t care what order they are picked. If we come out of this draft with another Benford (or better, minus the injuries), I’d consider this a very successful draft.
  10. But they don’t sit rookies just because. See Benford. If one of these players steps up in camp, they will play significant time.
  11. Reminds me of Lamar Jackson after we handed him a loss. I just hope Max shows no love to AFC receivers.
  12. This is True. Achane and Waddle have been relatively drama-less. Hill is probably the worse in the league.
  13. Josh is a great leader, but I’m not sure he’s ready for those jokers. Wouldn’t want these guys in Josh’s locker room. Probably worse than Diggs.
  14. Nope. We have one more year of Cook’s services. No mid-late first rounder (especially Beane’s pick) will be worth more.
  15. This is fine. The biggest value that the Bills have right now is a RB at a controlled price who is going to play hard to earn his bag next year. After that, I don’t care if it’s for another team. I just want the Bills in the Super Bowl next season. If we win it, Cook can then go wherever he wants. Bottom line, we have him for another year and his performance during this year is more valuable than any draft pick we would get in a trade.
  16. $15M per year is top 3 RB money. I like cook, and he was up there in terms of TDs scored, but the rest (yards, yards per carry) was about average. Maybe he is a top 10 RB, so would compromise and give him top 8 money. That’s Montgomery making $9.1M. Maybe I could be convinced to give him $12M (top 5 money), but only for 1-2 years.
  17. I don’t like the moving up and down the draft quote. For Beane, moving spots is like using a bar of soap. The more you handle it, the smaller it gets. Just pick the player you want. No need to move around; this strategy hasn’t really worked out well for Beane.
  18. Is this a Freudian slip? But, in truth, I think the Bills coolers did their jobs better. I doubt there was any warm Gatorade on the sideline.
  19. The big question becomes, are the Bills now going to sign this Wyatt guy?
  20. OP makes good arguments and the value of TJ is plain to see. Being a RB, his most memorable plays were him acting as a WR. That said, I don’t see the connection to Fred nor do I think he is the same league as Fred. A better comparison would be Fred vs Cook.
  21. Garbage time takes on a new meaning.
  22. It was probably this or be cut. I just don’t see any team paying him any significant amount of money right now. At least he gets an extra year for another SB run and another chance to show he still has stuff in the tank.
  23. Don’t forget, no touchdowns either.
  24. I would trade 2 1sts for him. Easily. It’s not like Beane would pick better players than Hendrickson. I don’t care about his age. 17.5 sacks is about 10 more than Rousseau. What I’d be most worried about is his contract numbers. If possible, I would give him 3 years with 3 void years.
  25. Those palm trees are proof he’s just teasing.
