Jones most likely will never amount to anything, he's a huge project with a very small % of probably success at the NFL level. But that can be said about 90% of all QB's drafted. Still you have to keep trying with QB's and a late rd draft pick is worth taking the chance..

Whaley brings in talent. over time the ability to continually bring in talent will manifest itself into a playoff team and possible SB champions I'd hate to see whaley fired or leave because mostr likely we will replace him with someone who will never be as good, AND Whaley will continue to be a solid GM in this league if not with us with plenty of suitors who will line up to hire him

Has nothing to do with the scouting process. NFL scouts and front offices are not passing over QB's because they aren't prototypical. If a player has the ability to play in the NFL then they will get looked at and drafted regardless. If they are not being looked at then its because they don't got it

You do not avoid the QB position. I can not believe how many people say don't waste a pick we're to desperate at other positions. Nothing like repeating the same mistakes year after year. Have some of you not learned those lessons yet. Maybe 10 more years of being a bottom feeder team will convince you then As far as I'm concerned until we have a much better QB situation starter (Tyrod has LOTS to prove still) and backup you can forget the rest of the team.
