  1. Yeah I didn't take your original post as you pounding the table for the guy but I was just making a general statement on my thoughts on that situation. I mean I would love to have a monster DE but this guy just makes me nervous and it's just a position we really can't afford to take a risk on. My opinion has been we are really looking at the next two draft classes to totally restock the cupboards and at this point I would prefer for them to wait until next year to go after DE
  2. The thing that makes me nervous with this guy even if he doesn't turn out to be a complete bust like Maybin but a JAG...we just cannot afford to whiff on another high draft pick DE prospect. If we rolled the dice on him we would need him to pan out as a legitimate NFL level DE and it just makes me really nervous.
  3. That really was an incredible atmosphere at the stadium for that one. It was just as crazy if not crazier than any game during the Allen era
  4. That sounds pretty awesome. I'm surprised this isn't being marketed more.
  5. Frank Reich is the most iconic because of the comeback game and just for the fact he played a pretty significant role on the Super Bowl teams even though he was a backup. Diggs is the better player hands down no matter what biases Bills fans might have against him at this point. Fitz might have claim to the most lovable although that might be a tossup between him and Frank. Watkins isn't even in the ballpark for this one
  6. That's the first time I've heard anything like that about the new stadium. Sounds cool. Can you elaborate on that at all?
  7. The Super Bowl was always the biggest sporting event of the year for me. Probably still is...but I dunno over the more recent years it's starting to lose some of it's luster in my opinion. It feels like the entertainment aspect is becoming bigger and bigger and it's starting to feel over the top. There's something that feels more pure about the Stanley Cup Playoffs and Master's weekend for me. Obviously if the Bills ever made it back to the Super Bowl that would be the Number 1 sporting event hands down.
  8. I went over to my parents neighborhood in the Wheatfield area of Niagara County to watch it. It was pretty cool, it was the neighborhood I grew up in and I still know alot of the neighbors that live there and a lot of people were out in their yards and driveways hanging out to see it. No elaborate neighborhood party or anything but just enough excitement to make it something of an event and it cost me $0. Drove by Gratwick Park in North Tonawanda earlier and it was jumping with a huge crowd and food trucks, DJ's etc...even saw a little petting Zoo with Horses for the kiddos. I wasn't that hyped for this thing going into it but I can see why it was such a big deal and I'm glad I at least went somewhere to take it in even if it was very lowkey.
  9. I think I heard somewhere(possibly Sal C on WGR?) that he is going to continue to do his softball game
  10. In the long run we are going to be fine. Are we going to experience some growing pains without all of these guys this upcoming season? In my opinion, Yes. We have no idea what to expect out of McGovern as a starting C for the first time in his career. I expect there to be some communication issues amongst the new safeties as they take over the reigns. I trust Beane to hit on some draft picks this year but there's always that rookie learning curve where you have to keep your expectations reasonable what those guys are going to come in here and do right away. I think there's alot of fans that lean on the highly optimistic point of view thinking we are going to be this highly upgraded team this year where I see it as more of a growing pains kind of year although I do expect us to be pretty competitive. We have too much talent to be a bad team.
  11. I think Beane has been fairly criticized for the mistakes he's made but he has done a lot of good too. What do you want? To fire him? That would be a huge mistake
  12. Meh. It's the media. I wouldn't let their thoughts on anything ruin your day
  13. This Diggs-Allen thing has brought out the worst in everybody lol. Glad to be moving on
  14. As someone who is more than likely giving up my Bills tickets once the new stadium opens up I am toying around with the idea of picking up Bandits season tickets for this reason but I've never really followed them so I'm on the fence. To be determined...
  15. Could be any sports team...College, Minor League teams like the Bisons or Amerks etc... The only team I've ever had season tickets for are the Bills
  16. I mean that's pretty much the way it is at every stadium across America these days. The Bills had one of the few last true sporting environments for real fans.
  17. And I never said they won't be a playoff team this year. My post is strictly going against the OP's original point about the Bills winning a Super Bowl this year. There's just too many holes to fill in one draft for them to be built to win the whole thing. But yes I completely agree that turning over an aging roster and bringing in youth will be a shot in the arm. Two good draft classes and possibly a nice free agent or two in the mix and this team can be right back in the thick of things.
  18. Before I say anything else I have no problem moving on from any of these guys. It was the right move 100% I am excited for the direction the Bills are going in. But if you are talking about going directly into next season you are delusional if you don't think they won't feel the impact of losing so many starters and vets and they are going to waltz into a Super Bowl title. We have no idea what Mcgovern is going to look like as a starting Center, we have no idea what the Defensive secondary is going to look like. Our D-line still came up way too short last season when it really mattered and there's no indication that is going to be resolved by next season. There will be growing pains or setbacks this upcoming year. I swear some fans on here underestimate how freaking hard it is to actually win a Super Bowl lol.
  19. He said there wasn't enough room in this town for both Diggs and Maddy Glab and one of them had to go
  20. I have no doubt the Bills are going to buy him out. I'm not sure what the future of tailgating will look like at the new stadium but I can almost guarantee they aren't going to want any of the "blue collar tailgating" going on in one of the lots right next to this new fancy schmancy stadium lol.
