  1. This is exactly what we need to happen, but sadly I agree with you that it's a pipedream and never going to happen
  2. Have you seen what the weather has been like in Buffalo lately?
  3. Interesting. I would have guessed it was even longer than that. I was thinking more like 2011 or 2012
  4. Does anybody remember what year they shut it down?
  5. I wish I could get into the Bandits...but with that said this is awesome for WNY and Congratulations to all of you who follow the team!
  6. I've never seen Second String and never had any desire too but I didn't know they filmed at the legendary Pinto Ron tailgate and now I kinda wanna watch it lol
  7. Yep and Marv Albert and Ahmad Rashad on commentary. Those were the days
  8. Nope. The way I follow the team and consume content these days is far different than the early 2000s. The funny thing is going on the Official team website and using those message boards was new and exciting compared to how we consumed content back in the 90s. Evolution is wild man
  9. Center Street in Lewiston is awesome in the Summer. It's a beautiful Main Street area that is filled with little shops, bars(good patio bars too for Summertime) and great restaurants. The whirlpool jet boat tours are pretty cool(link below) and if you're a music person you should see if there are any good shows playing at Artpark the week you're in town(link also below). Lewiston especially in the summertime is one of those hidden WNY gems Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours Artpark
  10. The NBA was amazing in the 90s, there was a point where I was more into the NBA than the NFL and NHL back in those days. The playoffs were must watch TV. I really miss the entire presentation of it too, all of those old NBA on NBC intro's were fantastic.
  11. I know I'm late to the funeral on this one as I've been out of town all week but was super sad when I heard about this. Norm is such an iconic sitcom character and George Wendt played the role so well. Then of course you have his SNL stuff with the super fans. I have also heard many stories about how he was very similar to the Norm character in real life. Definitely a guy you would want to hang out and have a few beers with. Like another poster mentioned, I also went back and rewatched Cheers from start to finish during the Covid shutdowns so even though the show ended over 30 years ago this still feels like a fresh one to me. RIP to a good one I hope they serve 🍺in heaven
  12. Was it just a thing to do if you were a college kid living in WNY back then? I had season tickets in the early 2000 drought days and we knew we sucked but it was just an excuse to get together and party with your friends every weekend!
  13. This kind of reminds me in the 90s in the NHL sometimes players would have an illegal curve on their stick and teams could challenge it and if it wasn't legal a penalty could be assessed. I feel like I haven't seen a challenge for that in years. Is that no longer a thing?
  14. This was a good show in it's prime. Haven't watched in awhile but sad news to see it coming to an end
  15. That and I imagine there are alot of fans out there trying to make it to their first game at the stadium before it closes. I have talked to fans from other teams/areas that have told me they would like to make it up here for a game this year before this stadium closes
  16. Fridge for sure but then I'm heating it up the next day. Cold pizza is nasty
  17. Injuries and staying healthy are absolutely a big factor in making it to the finish line. But having a less talented roster doesn't increase your odds of winning a Super Bowl either? I don't understand the point you are trying to make here
  18. The difference between a very good team and a Super Bowl team
  19. Was he talking about Barry Sanders?
