We had a great day watching the grandkids. My nine year old grandson is musically talented and I told him about the movie 1776. The adaptation of the Broadway play. We watched it on TMC and he loved it. I did tell him that the Continental Congress did NOT break into song and dance at various times. Today he is singing the songs. Last night we had a blast with "driveway" fireworks.

This was on tonight's ABC news also. Peeps are supposed to stay 25 yards from the Buffalo. "I just wanted to get a cute selfie"

After being in Iceland and the British Isles for 2 weeks, I can attest that the NY Yankees franchise is a huge favorite. Yankee hats and tee shirts were THE most worn items. Of course I wore Bills shirts and got some comments on the cruise.

We had no recess. No swings, jungle gyms. However, there were "field days and Junior Olympics" for nice weather days. There were soccer contests pitting one class against another. My kids think we played "Chase the dinosaur." given our advanced age.

Graduating debt free puts you in the 1%. Same as my daughters. While their friends took fancy vacations in their formative years our family's vacations were primarily visiting other family members. About 5 years after they graduated, they both thanked me and their mom for arranging to have them graduate college with no debt. and yes, I keep up with college friends on a regular basis.
