i will agree that the nfl has ruined the game due to making the sport the most one-position specific of any other prominant pro sport but still fitz isnt the biggest problem here. he was early this season and probably much of the last half last year but he hasnt been recently his rating is pulled down by his early struggles but hes been pretty solid for a while now. good enough to win in this league hes not a strength but hes not a weakness. subpar as elite qbs go but still better than about half the league. good enough with a good team

fitz started the season very poorly but hes not even close to the problem now. in fact, hes been playing quite well lately and its only fans built up impression and prior disappointment that prevents them from seeing that even his admitted weakness, the long ball, might very well be coming around. consider all the pi calls against the fish that were to prevent long passes from being completed - they looked like they were in the right spot and it was only holding up the receiver that prevented them from being completed hes still got a bit to go to get back to where he was at the start of last year but other than the horribly timed pick that contributed to the loss hes been far more part of the solution than the problem, and certainly plenty good enough to win if the defense wasnt epic bad most of the time

id rather have ann curry - and even if i did id be hungry in half an hour anyway

it looks like maybe its finally coming together for the defense. the offense is plenty efficient enough to be competitive, and the only team you could remotely call a tough game might be the hawks. so you never know im just glad each game will continue to be meaningful as long as they win. heck even one or two losses dont eliminatem their wc chances since its quite possible an 8-8 team could get it. but yeah at least 5-1 now seems the minimum realistic requirement and winning out the only near guarantee
