1) mooch is just saying what ive been telling the whiners for years, fitz is not elite but hes good enuf to win with. fans want the super qb or nuthin but they never fully remember how truly awful bad qbing can actually be c) the tj situation isnt all that complicated. chuddy was obvious uncomfortable with thigpen as their only insurance once vince imploded so they spent a relative pittance on another policy. thiggy finally had a good performance his last preseason game but i still wouldnt want to rely on him to produce like fitz does. if fitz goes down then at least youd have legit competition for the starting job, which when you consider tigpens deficiencies that is key -

link only posting - the lazy scourge of message boards Mickadeit: P.I. had woman try to trap Costa Mesa official The private investigator who followed Costa Mesa Councilman Jim Righeimer out of Skosh Monahan's bar in August told me on Thursday that he was at the bar in an attempt catch bar owner and Councilman Gary Monahan in a compromising position with a woman who'd been sent into the bar for that very purpose. Furthermore, Murrieta-based private investigator Chris Lanzillo says, he was hired to get dirt not only on Monahan but on the other two City Council candidates who are trying to overhaul pensions and cut back on city government, Councilman Steve Mensinger and slate-mate Colin McCarthy. Who hired him, Lanzillo wouldn't tell me. But I'm told the district attorney is looking into that. It's one of the most stunningly despicable political stories I've ever reported. "I've got nothing to hide," Lanzillo told me. "I do this stuff every day. ... To other people, it looks wrong, ... but it's not illegal. You ever watch 'Cheaters'?"

actually i do mans law is not necessarily natural law. in my book nature doesnt care about consenting adults getting each other off, its the lying and betrayal that is the sin. still, that sin shouldnt be illegal unless there is some kind of abuse of power, which is an entirely different thing. but i dont think this was that most states still have sodomy laws on the books. so i guess youre not getting any bjs or well you know -
it amazes me that every day free clean energy literally pours out of the sky and yet we still rely on pumping expensive toxic sludge out of the ground and burning it for our energy needs i bet if the worlds oil supplies suddenly dried up it would take us about three months to figure out how to make the external skin of everything we use capable of absorbing light to power just about everything

Petraeus's infidelity was his own affair We've lost too many competent figures to the altar of 'family values'. Fidelity is a lifestyle choice, it is not the law What business is it of any of us or his supervisors in Congress that David Petraeus had an affair? The former general was forced to resign as director of the CIA after the FBI discovered that he had been romantically involved with his biographer Paula Broadwell for four years. Adultery may not be agreeable to many in our increasingly moralising climate, but we should leave judgment and punishment to those on whom his acts directly impact: his wife of 38 years and his family. His personal dalliances (or as he diplomatically called them in his apology, his "mistakes") are not a matter for public concern. His position was not to serve as a role model. His role as director of the CIA was to provide direction for collecting, evaluating and correlating national intelligence for the US. There is no prerequisite for a squeaky-clean lifestyle behind the public scenes. Yes, he occupied a public post. But he has a right to a private life, private interests and private judgment calls. Yes, the affair came to light during an investigation by the FBI into a potential security breach, but the investigation concluded there was no breach and the "classified information" that Broadwell allegedly came into contact with is not thought to have come from Petraeus. ... Sadly, Americans are even more righteous than Britons when it comes to preserving the image of public figures. Bill Clinton's "lapse in judgment" with Monica Lewinsky led to him facing trial for impeachment even though he'd made no political howlers. If monogamy wasn't so blindly worshipped, Petraeus wouldn't be in trouble at all. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/nov/13/petraeus-infidelity-affair ive been thinking this since this whole thing came to light quite frankly, i dont give a crap about anybodys choice of who they decide to masturbate with. well, except with official supervisor/subordinate relationships because those cant be allowed due to abuse of power concerns, but otherwise with consenting adults i honestly feel its none of my or anybody elses business and doesnt reflect on their ability to do their job why are we chasing this guy out of office (he resigned but really he had to or he would be fired/disgraced out of office anyway) for a personal issue? what does this have to do with his ability to serve? adultery may be technically illegal but really why do we use this as some kind of litmus test? why does it matter so much to us (america)? if we found out that he had an open relationship agreement with his wife would that matter? what if he immediately divorced his wife and married the mistress, would that matter? listing all these questions really is more to show how silly it is that we care so much about this part of this public servants personal life that we bend over backwards to hold him ultimately accountable for something that really is a strictly personal matter. i personally dont think this is even close to something i want to use as a litmus test of professional competence. i agree with the article author, we judge these kinds of personal affairs far too harshly for no good reason and lose too many good people for very little if any positive return -
