Meathead replied to Jdragon2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
finally someone talking some sense -
what happens between 2.51 and 2.59 seconds?

kelsay is going to do what he always does and be a very solid player for the bills. in fact, given chans comments on guys trying to do too much and missing assignments, i wouldnt be at all surprised to see the line play better bc kelsay may not be flashy but hes very fundamentally sound the coolest thing would be to see him explode for 2-3 sacks against the crappy cardinals, then watch the dumbass fans call for trading anderson/mario

what they have to lose is their best chance at keeping the season on track giving tj or thigpen the job now is a bigger risk then sticking with fitz and trying to help him get through this rough patch. granted, its been a long rough patch going back to the middle of last season, but its not like hes been bad every game and/or isnt leading the team to scores (before this week) players go into slumps and hes mostly been in one for quite some time now. but he hasnt been horrible, at least not most games, and some of them hes been good. the picks and the missed passes are definitely a problem, but its not like he hasnt done it before. thigpen and tjackson have never been as good as fitz was the first half of last season and the six or so games hes played very good since then i have no allegience to fitz but hes still the best qb on this roster and id prefer they give him a chance to get straightened out rather than take an even bigger gamble on two guys who are virtually assured to be much worse right now sure as hell could be. at least fitz has kept the team scoring (until last wk) and runs a fantastic red zone offense (tough to do in the nfl). theres a pretty good chance david lees mechanics are going to start kicking in here soon (he said it takes half a season) and correct the problems fitz is experiencing now again, hes just the least risk option with the most upside. remove all emotion and right now hes just flat out the right choice

i dont root for injuries but i do root for a daisy cutter to be dropped in the middle of a jets/cheatriot game

what if Bills win their next 2 games ?
Meathead replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i too am a perfect 5-0 picking the bills w/l record to date, and also share the shock of how truly epic bad they have been in the losses. the magnitude of suck in those games was alarming but they still only count for one loss. its hard to see how they can suddenly figure out how to stop the hemorrhaging of huge chunks of yardage against quality offenses, or for that matter against the crappy jets, but a win this week and they are right back on track after that it gets messy. that have to beat the titans at the ralph if they want a legit shot at the postseason. then two blowout losses at the texans and cheaters, then they have to go 6-1 or at least 5-2 to get a chance at a wildcard lose this wee and despite being only six games in then im probably ready to join the freak-the-fk-outers and agree the season is likely over concerning a chance at the postseason -

A tell tale sign, re: Gailey is done!
Meathead replied to Armchair GM's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
still ok with chan. losses have been brutally bad but beat arizona and its all back on track. **** can change fast in pro sports, theres enough talent here to compete (even if it hasnt looked close to that recently), so im willing to wait a few more weeks before calling of chans head -
if you mean get them drunk before the game then yes

who is accountable in this organization?

i blame the midget -
line in the sand - you can step right over us

well as horrible as it has been for three games they can be right back at .500 and in decent shape with a win in arizona. lose that one and they appear at great risk for the wheels to start flying off again im 5-0 picking w/l so far, 4-1 ats. im taking the bills in this one
-
sounds like they are buying into the systems, they just suck at them, esp the defense im honestly not sure whether to blame the players or the coaches, probably some of both, but man have they been epic bad or what. just brutal
-
at this point i wouldnt mind seeing hank williams in there but yeah why not. at least mcknumnuts could possibly get in the receivers way. and maybe make a tackle to keep a seven yarder from becoming twenty seven man has the db play been brutal

There isn't anyone who can't handle a loss
Meathead replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not time to focus on the draft just yet time to focus on how a defense with that many upgrades and a good mix of talent can be that utterly horrible. im asking the question but i dont have any answers. i dont buy into the theory that wanny doesnt know what hes doing, he may have been a bad hc but his defenses have historically been top half of the league. so how can they be this totally inept? wtf is going on in that lockerroom? is there some kind of simmering resentment that mario got a hunnerd mil? are the cbs just so bad right now that no amount of scheming is going to protect them? or is it the lbs that are brutally bad? or both? something isnt adding up. its like a literal nightmare that you cant wake up from and yet it they can manage to pull out a win in arizona, they are back to .500 and on track. i realize that appears just about impossible right now, but it could happen. two losses after that to take them to 4-5, and then 6-1 the rest of the way to get a wc. pass me the jack daniels -
The Gailey Era Is All But Over
Meathead replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
in reality all they have to do is win this week and they are back to .500. from there its 7-3 or even 6-4 to have a real shot at a wildcard. so on one hand, its not as far off as it might seem on the other hand, the losses have been so brutally bad that you have to question the coaches ability to teach. theres just no way this talent level should be getting blown out that badly. if they get another beatdown this sunday then the whole staff will be on a short leash i think the bills regroup and get a win in arizona. they may be the worst 3-1 in quite a while and the bills will be maximally motivated. if they cant get super focused for this game, then yeah the season will be perilously close to imploding already -
My Thoughts on the Team for what it's worth
Meathead replied to Nasty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
lmao pls stop the 'season is over' crap admittedly it looks really bad but at 2-3 anything can happen. im more afraid they may just suck than im confident they will end up being good, but declaring the season over now is just silly -
BOBO RANKS BILLS' D 34 OUT OF 32 IN NFL.
Meathead replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
bobo better be a monkey or at least an elephant with a paintbrush ... bc that would be amazing actually -
brian moorman used to lead the defense in motivational cheers before the game. hes the guy that stands over them when they lift weights and makes them gut out those last five. he is the one they all look to in order to provide inspiration and drive to be their best. he was the straw that stirred the defenses drink and without him they are simply adrift at sea no its true
